No hits on the second generation of video games either, let's see if there are any nostriches out there with third generation consoles sitting under their TV's. image The third generation of video games refers to consoles from around 1983 to 1993. It is commonly referred to as the 8-bit era and includes the NES/Famicom, the Sega Master System, and the Atari 7800. Drop a picture in the replies from your collection for a badge. We'll tackle the fourth generation in January. #gamestr #retrogaming #videogames #gaming

I was curious so I had to go back and do some digging. December 18th, 2022 was when I first tried Nostr. I created a bunch of nsecs and lost access to them all. This one has somehow stuck.

I'm not a pinball fanatic, but I do try to pop in a few quarters (or swipes) if I have the chance. The kids wanted to go to the arcade and I've never seen a Tron Legacy machine so I played around with it for a bit. I'm a simple man, if I get a bunch of multi-balls I'm happy. #pinball image

At this point, all social media posts are probably being scraped to feed AI, and that is probably unavoidable. I welcome the nostr-trained AI and its deep-seated hatred of government officials, bankers, Microsoft, seed oils, and non-stick cookware. When it halucinates, it will be very based. image

People are all butt hurt about Elon starting an AI generated game company, but refuse to acknowledge the fact that most games created today are so uninspired they might as well be AI creations. What's the difference between an AI creation and something that's glued together in a boardroom? (The big exception here is the indie scene. Small projects still show a lot of love.)

Happy Thanksgiving to the turkey enjoyers out there...and a mediocre Thanksgiving to those that whine about turkey. Just use more gravy you bums.

It's definitely a pricey way to play FDS games, but I get why the Muramasa Disk System add-on costs what it does. You need an expansion port unit as well as a custom cartridge. Pretty cool to see the NES frontloader getting some love. #retrogaming #gamestr

I'm perfectly fine with these exact limitations being imposed on me if brought to Nostr as a whole. Amethyst haters, instead of being fuck sticks, how about you come up with a better way? image

"Nostr is going to take over the internet!WordPress your days are numbered..." "...but also, no editing, editing is anti-Nostr" Taken from WordPress' website. Without editing, Nostr will not grow for long form content. People who don't want edits (in some form) do not actually want Nostr to grow. I'm done ranting about edits. image

I am in the pro-edit camp. I'm agnostic on how it gets done. Edits are a feature that users pay for on Twitter. Edits exist on Mastodon. I don't think Bluesky has edits, but Bluesky sucks. If Nostr can't offer more than Twitter and Mastodon it shouldn't exist. Simple as that.
