John Harvey Kellogg and his bold plan for corn flakes occaisonally shows up in my feed (seed oils seem to get all the attention these days)
I just wish the cereal company that bears his name would do a retro-themed box that presented his lofty goals again in 2024. Devote the whole back of the box to it.
I've been playing through Flea for the NES. It's a fun homebrew and I'm really looking forward to the sequel...
...but I can't remember the last time I've cursed out the TV this much. 80 levels x 5 f-bombs each. My office sounds like a Scorsese movie.

Had to take my son to the doctors today. They were backed up because its cold and flu season. They called another kids name that sounded like my son's. We got up before realizing the mixup. The music in the waiting area was Rick Astley.
We got fucking rickrolled at the doctors.
The funny thing about ActivityPub, Nostr, and the AT Protocol, is that when its all said and done, and through various bridges, relays, and frontends everything is interoperable (but we can control what gets posted where), we basically have just have recreated Google+ Circles.
I started rewatching Boardwalk Empire and it got me thinking, for as little as I drink, I could have stockpiled enough booze to get me through the 13 years.
I would have been a belligerent asshole towards Temperance League types though, and I probably would have held a grudge afterwards.
Another Openvibe test. I'm curious how it handles image uploads. Here's a random picture of a smiling dog. Mastodon and Bluesky seem simple enough, but I'm curious where the image lives on the Nostr-side.

Testing out Openvibe.
The funny thing about Bluesky is that no one actually gives a shit about what it is or what problems it attempted to solve. They just want Twitter without Elon. Bluesky could have saved themselves a lot of headaches (and some awful tradeoffs) just making a true Twitter clone.
I spent some time digging through some NES homebrew. A lot of single screen games. Wasn't one of the NES's selling points smooth scrolling?
I've wanted to get Rasteri's Doom running on the NES for a couple years now. Here's the github:
I have pretty good luck tackling projects that are well above my pay grade. Let's see how this one turns out. #retrogaming #gamestr

So the Paul vs. Tyson fight...
It went how a fight between a 27 year old and a 58 year old should go. I think the important lesson here is that everyone really wants the return of big boxing events. Everyone was excited about it. Maybe next time, don't lean on a 58 year old legend to carry it all. Start building and hyping new talent.
C'mon Netflix...hold it together just. a little longer...
My wife, asking me what all the boxes from eBay are...
I'd rather take a punch from Jake Paul in his prime than Mike Tyson well past his prime. That's the basis of my prediction for tonight.
If Jake Paul dances around and tires him out, he'll probably win. If Mike Tyson connects its over.

A wild expression of humility to be used in everyday life hahaha
Dinner tonight was fraught with tense negotiations.
I informed my children that I would not be reading to them before bed on Friday due to the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul fight.
Apparently I have a quota and those chapters will need to be made up this week...
Me: It's going to be funny as hell watching RFK steamroll all the companies putting additives and dyes in our food.
Also me, a lifelong Mainer who has grown up eating red snappers:

Infinite NES Lives sells these cartridge dumper boards. If someone figured out how to pair this with a MiSTer I'd be all over that.
