Infinite NES Lives sells these cartridge dumper boards. If someone figured out how to pair this with a MiSTer I'd be all over that. #gamestr #retrogaming image

We're probably going to look back on the era of social media and regret moving away from forums. People want their own little echo chambers. I'm guilty of that. If I could hack Twitter to feed me content about 3 or 4 different topics, with a frequency of my choosing, I'd do it.

Hitting $80,000 is cool, but Phoenix and WoS coming back to the US is when I start getting excited. image

Another Tengen game for the collection. I like the weird black cartridges. Other than Tetris, they aren't super expensive. #retrogaming #gamestr image

The theory that Biden cost Harris the election by not dropping out sooner is stupid. Her campaign would have just taken a nosedive sooner. She wasn't a good candidate. The real question is what if he dropped out sooner and they held a primary...

My election predictions were pretty far off. Like the pollsters, I too will spend some time in the crystal. image

This would be an extra spicy election result. Trump takes PA, NC, and GA. Harris takes NV, AZ, MI, WI and ME's CD2... image

My take on today: Chance to free Ross if you stay home = 0 Chance to free Ross if you pull a lever > 0 You're gonna get fucked by the state either way, might as potentially get something in return. Trump is probably lying, but there's a chance he's not. I can understand those that say, "I wish he was out, but I'm not engaging with the state to do it, that's immoral, sorry Ross." That's fair, that's consistent, I get that. Its the rah rah Free Ross people that stay home calling everyone statist cucks that I don't get. You growing cucumbers in your backyard isn't going to magically make the state go away and allow him to saunter out prison.

I want to be a good Nostr citizen and vet my relays better. Excluding Wine (who does a good job of this), where do I go to learn how each relay operates? For example, for large, free relays, how long do you hold my notes and do you purge older notes?

Picked up this badboy the other day. I used to play this game at my grandmother's house until my cousin lost it. Pretty sure he left it out and the dog chewed it... At any rate. This is my first unlicensed NES game. I want to chase down the other Tengen releases, or at least the one's I can afford. #retrogaming #gamestr image

I don't think the mentality should be "if you don't want to manage your relays, go somewhere else, Nostr is not for you." The mentality should be, "How do we make relay management enjoyable, interesting, and intuitive to everyday people?" Otherwise enjoy posting notes to the same 20,000 people...

"Relay dot noswhere" is really the unsung hero of relays in preserving older posts that I'm trying to back up on Citrine

I've seen that in my field as well. Being licensed is just an inconvenient hurdle that everyone goes through. You're required to get licensed and are given an amount of time after being hired to do it, but it carries no weight. No one really cares that you're licensed other than to check a box off. The company heavily promote various certifications though, because those do carry weight. Some aren't cheap either. They happily pay for people to get certifications because it benefits them in all the ways you mentioned.

I just had an Uno round that was so devastating that my son threw his cards in the trash. We had to have another talk about him not always winning. It was a heartfelt, family sitcom moment, except I was dying laughing on the inside.

No hits on the first generation of video games (as expected), let's see if there are any nostriches out there with second generation systems. image The second generation of video games refers to consoles and handhelds from around 1976 to 1983. It includes things like the Atari 2600 and 5200, Intellivision, ColecoVision, and Vectrex. Drop a picture in the replies from your collection for a badge. We'll tackle the third generation in December. #gamestr #retrogaming #videogames #gaming
