The "girls find guys who game unattractive" thing does the rounds every couple of months and I take the bait every time. My tinfoil hat is that this whole issue pops up because families are getting smaller and there are a lot of girls who grew up without brothers.

My advice: get a copy of KOTOR 1 and 2 now while they're on sale. The OG Dark Forces got pulled when the new remaster came out (which is a good remaster for the record). That said, if a KOTOR remake ever sees the light of day, the powers at be will ruin it and pull the original.

I hate myself, and I hate my wife... ...which is why I will attempt to rewatch the Sequel Trilogy starting tonight, to see if it really is as soul crushing as I remember.

Update: this book is pretty cool. I like the world Gibson creates...in those moments when I understand what the hell he's talking about. View quoted note →

Good afternoon. Our leaders, the ones pushing for OS level age verification, should take a moment and go kill themselves. That is all.

Searching to see if I've ever used the word "empowered" on here, because god do I fucking hate that word. It almost always is used to write off some insane behavior: "Sir, why did you shove this 2 liter bottle of Coke up your ass?!" "Well, it was an empowering moment for me"

Look, I know many of us have strong feelings about the Chimpanzee Civil War that's brewing, but we have to stay neutral and not get involved. No more forever wars!

This is probably me letting Twitter slop seep into my brain, but the whole ball mouse vs optical mouse debate is just insane. I am heavily moved by nostalgia and even I'm not nostalgic for ball mice.

"Where will they go? Who cares? Hopefully, they will disappear, that is, move from the ranks of the petted and cosseted bum class to the ranks of the productive members of society." The answer to this, was of course, they will go to downtown Bangor... image

The funny thing about Microsoft is how deaf they can be on basically every issue. Everyone screeched about bloat and unnecessary apps, so their answer to this was to take away solitaire and minesweeper. I don't have much faith in their latest "we heard your concerns" schtick.

In hindsight, zap polls were a colossal failure. Why were we forced to endure them for that long?

Ever since Elon pussied out of an MMA match with Zuck, I've stopped putting a lot of faith in these announcements. That said, this should happen. The children of American's ruling elite should be engaging in combat for everyone to see. image

I was a Biden tracking appreciator - the clones, their origins, their motives, their deficiencies, etc.. Like photocopies of photocopies, they got progressively worse over time, but they were interesting to study. I'm now questioning if Long Tweet Trump is a failed clone...

In management, there's something called the Peter Principle where employees are inevitably promoted to roles where they no longer are competent. I wonder if something like that exists with technology, where a technology will inevitably progress to a point where it sucks.
