Last night we drove out to a small village in Bulgaria to visit a bitcoiner who built his own water, solar and geothermal energy system. In the summer during the day has enough excess energy to power 6 miners. Completely automated.
The power went out last week and he was the only house in the town that still had energy.
This is the way. Engineering solutions to problems.
Build skills.
Add value.
Save in bitcoin.
The question I have for my fellow Americans is, are you really free?
Sure, drink some booze and light off some fireworks, but if you are still living on fiat you are contributing to a system of control and extraction. Some might even call it slavery.
Free men live on a bitcoin standard.

I would argue that one of the most important metrics to predict a nation’s future success is bitcoiners per capita.
No idea how you’d get the data but Bulgaria has to be high on the leaderboard.
TRY THIS HACK next time you visit a restaurant or cafe.
If you want to onboard a merchant to accept bitcoin it’s not going to happen the first time you visit.
Whenever you ask, “do you accept bitcoin as payment?” expect a “NO” 99% of the time.
This is normal. Chances are you are the first person to ever ask.
Rather than get discouraged, ask if they will accept a tip in bitcoin.
In my experience 90% will say yes. Have them download a lightning wallet and one minute later they have used bitcoin for the first time.
If they say no, my friend @Nackoo2000 has the perfect response: “Okay, if you don’t want any money that’s fine.”
By casually referring to bitcoin as money you trigger an emotional response which cements the memory in their mind.
Next time they hear about bitcoin they’ll remember turning it down. That’s a win.

Day 6 of production in Bulgaria. I got a chance to sleep in, recover and reflect on our progress so far.
Will share some observations and thoughts tomorrow but I am pinching myself that I get the opportunity to tell this story.
So many people have showed up, supported our Geyser project, hosted us and shared their stories… thank you to all of you. I hope I can convey the emotion and experience I’ve had in the movie. Still a long ways to go but we already have some amazing things to share.
