Would a biblical system of tithes be voluntary in fact? How much does The Bible say the tithe should be? The Bible says the tithe is ten percent. Yes, ten. This means that of all the slave systems we have looked at — including our own —the antebellum South comes closest to biblical mandates in this regard. Would you voluntarily pay ten percent of your earnings to help people who really need help; for schools and hospitals — in place of the diabolical monstrosity from which we are suffering now?
