We recognize that very different dog breeds have very different characteristics, but refuse to believe that different human breeds are any different at all. 40,000 of divergent evolution makes a difference. View quoted note →
It was an eventful drive home. Semi truck wreck in Washington. Had to dodge a big metal bar laying in the highway going 80. After I crossed into Montana I saw a tree fall across the highway right in front of me. Slammed the brakes, off-roaded a little to get around it. Then around the bend there was a log truck with two cars following him super close. I flashed my highbeams like crazy, danger danger danger! None of them tapped the brakes. Pretty sure they wrecked around that bend with a big tree across the road but there's no cell service out there to call it in. If somebody is flashing their highbeams at you coming the other way and you can't see what's ahead you better slow the fuck down.
Beautiful day for a drive across the Northwest United States. Just crossed the whole state of Washington and made it to Idaho for my refuel stop. Not I head up though Northern Idaho all the way through Bonners Ferry, then turn east into Montana. The best feeling is when I cross into the Montana State line and kick it up to 90 mph and start passing everybody because we have so few cops in Northwest Montana. image
I left Codex working on a job 5 days ago when I left home. I instructed it not to pause work to ask for any additional permissions but to simply work with constraints. It has permission to read and write in /tmp but not delete so hopefully it didn't fill up that directory. My weekly limit usually randomly resets every 2-3 days for some reason, and most of it's workload on this job is waiting for tests to run, so hopefully it didn't hit a wall. There's always the off chance that it stopped with a selected model at capacity error, but with any luck I'll go home tomorrow and find that it's finished the job.
I've never really hid my identity online. My nostr username is more of a nom de plum than a nym.
I admire artists and musicians. I used to draw when I was an adolescent and was quite good at it. I played piano and guitar. Somewhere along the way to adulthood I lost my creative spark and never got it back.
