Physiognomy is undefeated. I tried shaving my head for a while when I was a young man, but I learned pretty quickly that I scare people away like that. I have very pronounced skull ridges where my cranial bones meet, so when people see me with a shaved head they think I look like a psychotic, violent criminal. The thing is, I do actually have lots of violent ideations and impulses, I just mostly keep them under control unless a get a good deal of alcohol in me. It's one of those legitimate generic sciences that was unfairly rejected around a century ago that we should probably revisit.

Brains are crazy. My wife is awake now, but most of her brain has not activated yet according to the EEG. Mentally she's an infant. She can't speak or understand, and her muscle movements are involuntary. She's starting to recognize things though. Sometimes if I smile at her she'll smile back at me. I was showing her pictures and videos and it showed reactivity on the EEG that wasn't there a few days ago. Over the next several days they tell me more parts of her brain will come back online and she'll start getting her functions back.
