At a combined income of 120k a year my wife and I were getting by month to month. Not getting into debt but not having a lot left over each month. This year she's been on 60% disability since the car accident and I haven't been working since I've been taking care of her while she's disabled, and somehow we're still getting by just fine. I have no idea what we were spending all that extra money on before but we're still doing fine. Weird how that works.

I've been an adult for 22 years and I've worked full time hours for a paycheck less than 50% of that time. It's something I do when necessary but I opt out whenever I'm able.
