I saw the ColdCard story hit Bloomberg this morning... The market didn't seem to care. That doesn't mean we shouldn't. Is the some way for a zap-athon for impacted Nostr folks? image

Does anyone know how we could implement a nostr zap-athon for victims of the coldcard exploit? I tealize that validation will be tricky and dispersment will be tricky but open to suggestions. Im willing to seed and lead the project. Thank you Nostr!

I see alot of hate toward some good people in the Bitcoin community over the coldcard debacle. Let's not single anyone out here. This bug was missed by ALL OF US...FOR 5 YEARS!. For the people directly impacted, I am truly sorry for your loss. For everyone that dodged the bullet, let's learn from this and build more robust architectures. This incident made alot of folks humbled. Now lets stack sats.

The Fauci (lack of) testimony was difficult to watch. Will justice be done? Most likely not, but the truth stands on its own. Truth changes minds, and minds are what we need to change the system.

Daily Trivium: "deserves the best parks, libraries, and schools": FALSE DILEMMA. It ignores alternatives like spending cuts, efficiencies, fraud prevention etc. "fair share": EQUIVOCATION. assumes without argument that fairness requires this targeted surcharge on on property. "Best city in the world": NON-SEQUITUR Even if NYC were objectively the best, this does not logically entail that a specific new tax on second-home owners is required or the optimal way to fund superior public services. The statement also BEGS THE QUESTION by assuming "the best" services demand higher taxes without evidence that current funding is insufficient, misallocated, or that the tax will reliably deliver improved outcomes. #logicalfallicies #trivium image

The best TLDR you can get from reading the teachings of Christ is that you can have a personal relationship with God . Try it... GN nostr.

Daily Trivium History: How bankers ended up controlling our financial system. PART 1 (1907- 1934) Step 1: 1907: The Panic of 1907 a banking crisis and stock market collapse (probably induced - reference the Pujo Committee). J.P. Morgan's private intervention provided the justification for a central bank. Step 2: 1913: The Federal Reserve Act was signed into law on December 23, establishing the US "central banking". Actually a cartel of private banks . Same year - the ratification of the 16th Amendment to the Constitution enabling federal income tax, giving the government a way to reliably pay the interest on loans to the newly formed "central bank." Step 3 1917: The United States entered World War I, prompting the government to issue war bonds (bank debt) to finance the war effort. Issued by the treasury, but facilitated by the central bank. Massive debts, fueled by easy money policies. Step 3 1929: The banks tightend monitary policy triggering a debt collapse (again) and the US stock market crash in October marking the onset of the "Great Depression". Ben Bernake (former Fed Chaiman) would later admit that the central bank "caused the great depression". Step 4 1933: President Roosevelt declared a national bank holiday closing all banks "temporarily" and allowing ONLY Federal Reserve member banks to reopen (eliminating all competitive banks outside the federal reserve system). At the same time, Executive Order 6102 confiscated all privately held gold and required it be put into Federal Resurve banks. Now they had no competition and ALL of the monitary collateral. Step 5 1934: the Gold Reserve Act (which formalized the gold revaluation to $35 from $20.62. The Securities Exchange Act (creating the SEC) and the creation of the FDIC which made provate bank failures a Federal government problem - systemizing bank bailouts. Like if you want Part 2.
