Cathie Wood says #btc is going to rip once the new Fed Chair is confirmed. Assuming she's right, that's a very concerning development given that bitcoin was created to end the Fed in a practical sense, not be subject to the Fed's HR dept.

The Canadian comunistas want to charge folks that leave to work in the US a $500k exit tax. The justification being you were a beneficiary of gvt higher education subsidies. That's the problem with freebies, they are never free; but putting that aside this is no different from slavery days when running away from the plantation where you were enslaved was a serious offence. The most powerful form of civil disobedience is not protest but the creation of conditions in which unjust authority simply cannot reach you. The Bitcoin network is that condition for money, Nostr is that condition for speech and identity and sovereign computing is that condition for thought. Together, they are the infrastructure of a life that does not require the state's permission to be lived. View article β†’

"Today, the public is overcome with a sense of alienation and powerlessness before a consolidated, post-ideological elite that seems almost entirely unresponsive to its concerns. The world is increasingly split not between left and right, but between high and low, which is why conservatives and liberals alike have embraced populism." Interesting...
