It’s high time I shared some of my musical experiments again on here. I’m driving my Hydrasynth here with Logic Pro for iPad and making live tweaks to the synth on the fly.

Cheeky request. Can someone send me a few sats, testing that I’ve fixed my wallet.
It’s very orange and it sounds beautiful. The hydrants takes pride of place on my desk! Here are some sounds I’ve recorded so far -

Using ChatGPT I generated a Simpsons version of myself. I loved the result!

If you live close to Reading like we do, you’ll be familiar with this wind turbine. Turns out that there is a path right alongside it and you can get very close to it. On a calm day like yesterday, I couldn’t really hear it until we stood further away from it.

GM everyone. Lovely day out there. Too nice not to go for a pre-work walk!
Taken yesterday using the Leica Lux app on my iPhone, exposure-3 of an old tree root. It looks like something out of a Tolkien story. @PappasBland thanks for your post on Substack that reminded me of this great app.

More coffee and cake this morning. Why not? This was at the Canteen in old Portsmouth which is in an old cellar. Very good. I recommend it highly!

Almost charged up and then onto Southses for a good old blast of sea air!!

Stopped off at Mollies in Wallingford. Very funky cafe indeed! I’ll nip inside and take some more photos. We’re out in the garden at the moment. Out in the garden! Spring is here!
The coronation chicken baguettes were gorgeous! Great coffee!

Bolton House, located at 14–16 Cullum Street in the City of London, is a notable example of Art Nouveau architecture with Moorish influences. Completed in 1907, it was designed by architect A. I. Selby.
The building’s façade features blue and white faience tiles, arched windows, and elegant columns. A frieze above the first-floor windows showcases foliage designs typical of the Art Nouveau style. The shield incorporated into the design is believed to represent the heraldic device of Prior Bolton.
Cullum Street, where Bolton House is situated, was established following the Great Fire of London in 1666 and is named after Sir Thomas Cullum.
By 1950, Bolton House served as the premises for The Navigators & General Insurance Company. In 1984, the building underwent renovation, during which two additional storeys were added.
Today, Bolton House stands as a rare example of Art Nouveau architecture in the City of London, reflecting the early 20th-century architectural trends and the city’s rich history.

For those who may have had trouble playing my new track earlier, I’ve uploaded it to Wavlake.

I’ve released a new track and you can find it here. It’s an audio recording from the last video that I shared, kind of, just a bit more arranged!

This is the first track I’ve put together using Groove rider 2 on the iPad and it is excellent
A piece of music I’ve been working on tonight, taking shape nicely.

Exploring some interesting nooks and crannies around London this evening, including the society for protection of ancient buildings.Off to London today for my once in a blue moon visit to the office. Our company has been very good with the whole remote/hybrid thing but I’m wary that they might ultimately follow the trend of believing that since other companies are now getting people back in the office; they should follow suit.
I think that misses the point.
Knowledge workers, as we like to call ourselves, are far more productive in our own environments. We have more time with our families and spend less time stuck in traffic, stressing over cancelled trains, spending obscene levels of cash on tickets in this broken economy.
I used to be freelance until Covid broke out but weirdly did us a number of favours and many had an almighty epiphany. What the fuck are we doing with our lives?!
With all that said, I go into the city once a fortnight, so happy to do that, it’s a fair compromise.
