Got a decent photo of an Agouti sat just outside our patio this morning. Fascinating animals, distant relatives of Guinea Pigs and Rock Cavies. We’ve seen tonnes of Coati quite often hanging out with the Agouti, they seem to get on pretty well; perhaps they have one of those symbiotic relationships we often see in the animal world. First thing this morning we caught a fleeting glimpse of a North American Raccoon which I didn’t expect to see here. Then reading about it, maybe it was a Cozumel Raccoon? Critically endangered they are. I love it here!

Down by the poolside at Sandos Playacar, this place is vast and beautiful. The staff are lovely. Enjoying our first time in Mexico!

It’s that time of year in Mexico fairly soon where the Mexicans celebrate their day of the dead; Dias de Muertos. It almost looks like these two have fallen out, had a posthumous argument perhaps. Taken near our hotel in Playa del Carmen.

Our Mexican hotel, Sandos Playa del Carmen is amazing. Here are a few photos to kick off my journal for the next two weeks.

Arrived safely at our hotel on the Caribbean coast of Mexico. Not a great journey but shall write about that in a full post later. Exhausted been on the go for 24 hours.

I read a lot on here about going #carnivore but surely I already am a carnivore? I’m missing something I guess or perhaps this is a topic more commonly talked about in America, where I don’t live. I’m intrigued to learn more about this. Some members of our family are vegan and everyone has their reasons and beliefs for which is better. I’m not convinced by veganism, oh no but want to eat more healthily and to skip the confusing, often misleading advice the professionals may or may not be dishing out. Everyone has their own individual needs when it comes to nutrition.
