Walked across the incredible Pontcysyllte Aquaduct in North Wales. Towering above the River Dee, filmed on my Insta360 and grabbed some stills from the footage. You need a bit of a head for heights for this one. I’ll share the video at a later point:-)

Not the best photo but it features a sea plane flying over at a ridiculous low altitude. Never like aircraft flying too low for too far, they should be up high in the sky! It was the Catalina, a very rare flying boat that I’ve only ever seen at the Farnborough air shows in the past. It’s 78 years old and was built in the Second World War. Built in Canada for operation along coastlines, to attack enemy supply ships. I found a better photo of it online. To share here.

Feeling smug today with my new trainers being quite a bit less. Skechers and so comfy I can walk forever on them which is what i plan to do.

What the heck? Pesos! My wife bought some in Marks and Spencer’s today as the rate was good. We are going to Mexico next month, so making sure we’ve got some cash but I’m hoping to use Lightning a little bit whilst there, that will be incredible. Destination, Playa del Carmen on the Caribbean coast. My wife wants to give Bitcoin/Lightning a go too, I hope to convince many people on this front as it happens. image

Details of an old steam engine at the outlet centre Swindon. I love these old things and would happily create a book of typography, signs and other memorabilia. image

Porcine pedestrians - sounds like a 70s psychedelic progressive rock band. Spotted in the New Forest. They are kept in the woods, feed off the acorns and not feeds them but keeps the woods tidy.

I always walk past this on my morning walks, a gnarly old tree root that by my estimation is as old as some of the repeats on iplayer. It’s a marvellous thing nonetheless. image

Dramatic skies at two different points in the day. The sunset tonight looked like a fire was burning, which was quite eerie.

I am really proud of my wife Tina pictured here, second from left, light grey trousers for completing her Mighty Hike this Sunday. The walk was a half marathon length of 13 miles, that started at Corfe Castle and ended in Swanage with a big section along the coastal path. They faced challenges with the weather with “horizontal rain” being the least of their worries, as parts of the coastal path were somewhat tricky to walk on. The reason behind their participation was to raise money in memory of a colleague who died last year from cancer. It hit us all very hard, as one minute she was there in the office, all normal, healthy and enjoying life. Next she was in hospital with severe pain, was diagnosed and never left the hospital. She was later moved to a hospice where she died a few days later. Her husband Mark was shell shocked. On Sunday I did part of the walk in reverse from Swanage and met up with them near the coastal path, so that I could join them for their last couple of miles or so. They did brilliantly but were physically and emotionally exhausted. They raised a lot of money between them and are still pulling money in. image

This is fantastic. Using Arc Search, a test for searching kayak strokes worth learning over the winter. Came up with a lovely summary of content here. So cool! image
