Wife: "I've never seen so many fake boobs at the same house."
Me: "Who?"
Wife: "You didn't see all those skinny bitches with boobs? Fake!"
Me: "How do you know it wasn't like a wonderbra or something? If those were fake boobs, they got ripped off."
Wife: "Not all women want to look cartoonish like Dolly Parton or a porn star."
Me: [channels the spirit of late, great Dusty Rhodes]: "THEN WHAT THE HELL ARE YA DOIN' IT FOR, DADDY?!" ๐

Trying to remember why China banning western spook-run platforms and news outlets is a bad thing... Wait, don't help me! ๐คฃ

Two people on opposite sides of town at the same time this morning. One fighting to survive a bad traffic crash, as the other made the irreversible decision to end it all.
When I first joined, everyone was discouraging reposts because it could lead to duplicates of the same note in your follower's feed if they were already following the author of the note you reposted.

Or a PTO-driven generator that powers the miner (connected to the internet via your phone's hotspot) and heats the tractor cab while you push snow.

We need an automotive version of the Avalon Nano 3S. The miner defrosts the windshield while the power supply acts as an oil pan heater ๐คฃ

At least that's how I justified it to the missus ๐คฃ

One thing I love about LN integration with nostr and podcasting 2.0 is the empowerment to decide for myself, not just how much the content was worth but far more often, how much value I can afford to return to one creator without shafting another one.
A big problem with a subscription model especially in this economy is it forces the creator to presume that every fan can afford the entry level tier. It sucks that there's no way to measure how much value is being left on the table by creators who force you to choose between "becoming a member" or giving nothing, to take a chance on a subscription that can be started with the click of a mouse but whose cancelation procedure rivals that of out-processing from the military.
On the other hand, news 'relayers' on nostr - whether they be real humans or news bots - provide the value of helping me avoid doomscrolling on platforms that are beholden to advertisers, activist groups and/or hidden government pressure campaigns. Contrast that with if I want to know the latest involving local charities or government agencies, I'm forced to hold my nose and visit Facebook.

My favorite vehicle door handles were the old style where the unlatching mechanism (plunger) was separate from the non-moving handle used to pull the door open. It just felt like a more durable design.
