Shitting my pants again earlier tonight cloning a new Cold Card, on the path to greater knowledge about the importance of regular firmware updates. It all worked out in the end.
Remember that in a crisis, your bathtub can usually be filled using the last remaining water pressure available in your neighbourhood, for wash water and toilet flushing.
And don’t forget, you’ve got 40-60 gallons in your hot water tank that can get you through several days too.
One of the best things I learned this year was the importance of making a small hardcopy laminated card with all of your important phone numbers on it, which gets tucked in your wallet and backpack. With contacts being so easy to add to our smartphones nowadays, nobody needs to remember phone numbers anymore. It’s a major vulnerability. Give a copy of the card to every family member and protect yourselves against the disaster of losing contact with your peeps in a crisis. Worst case, if all comms are down, make sure everyone in your household knows where the primary and secondary walk-to rally points are if SHTF.
