I think that despite there being wolves and sheepdogs among us, the main qualities most humans possess that permit us to be collectively tax farmed and treated as sheep are 1) fear of death and 2) fear of future loss. The problem is that, due to our so effectively captured public education system, by the time most people who do “wake up” manage to shake off the indoctrination and begin to question the thinly veiled crimes that our governments and the banks are perpetrating against us, they have acquired a meaningful list of things to lose in addition to their lives or their physical freedom: A spouse, children, a home, a career, and a means to feed and fuel them. Not to mention debt. All things that would immediately be at risk or create a liability should every man and woman mount what I believe to be the only effective and peaceful means we have left to get the parasites off our backs: stop going to work for three months and see how our representatives suddenly start to pay attention.
The trap we have been led into has taken generations to achieve its airtight level of full spectrum control. It’s going to take some time and a lower standard of living to initially unplug ourselves, and then educate at least half a generation about the nature of this trap, to keep them from entering the mouth of it.
The importance of the four actions that I believe will set us up to eventually unplug en masse, and mount a meaningful resistance to the tyrants, need to become cultural for them to ultimately change the game. I believe these four things, enacted over the course of a couple generations, are:
1) homeschooling our kids and educating them about the traps of fiat currency, debt and taxation while teaching them skills of self sufficiency
2) arming ourselves, for defensive purposes only, and resisting any regulatory attempts to disarm us
3) obtaining land, or at the very least, cultivating whatever available space we have access to, to produce and store the things we need to survive.
4) growing and preserving our own food, and trading labour or goods LOCALLY for the things we still lack
Really wanted to take advantage of the relatively low fees today and send my first TX to my new Cold Card from Gemini. But alas, there's a 7 day wait period for new receiving addresses on that exchange. Hopefully with the new setup that'll be my last KYC purchase. I wish I had a month to just do nothing but elevate my setup to fully sovereign computing. Stayed up till 3am last night getting the Cold Card set up and getting it talking to Sparrow, BlueWallet and Nunchuck. I honestly don't know how the married premiere educators in the space stay married. It takes a lot of time to become native to everything that works, and it changes every week. I am noticing that a lot of the how-to's online have just enough differences to make it unclear, based on UI and firmware changes since they were posted, including on ColdCard's website. Case in point, the wording on exporting a wallet now in Cold Card settings doesn't say Native Segwit anymore. It's slightly different. There's 3 options and two of them refer to Segwit..

Ok guys I think I have finally bypassed the zap blocking ios and got a wallet working on desktop. Can someone please send me a small test zap? The one I got earlier from a kind soul onto an Alby address is inaccessible is seems unless I have a lightning node set up. Which is a hundred man hours away for me right now considering I have to reflash my mini pc with StartOS and get everything set up and channels funded in and amongst working lots of hours every week. Can anyone please tell me if there’s any way to participate in zap culture from a desktop app or extension without having your own lightning node? I’ve been around the horn for three hours with different Nostr clients and wallets. The only Lightning address I could successfully enter a zap address to was an Alby wallet and if I want to send from Alby I can’t without a Lightning node of my own apparently. Boy are we early. I’ve been the IT guy at three of the companies I’ve worked for and this shit is half baked.

Can someone please send me a test zap? I just got set up with a desktop client and an alby wallet and I am trying to see if it works. Still can’t successfully post from primal on desktop this whole system is pretty unintuitive atm. Thx
