Happy Father’s Day to all the dads stacking sats for their kids. It takes conviction to save in a money most people still don’t understand. Maybe we look crazy today, but we’re just trying to leave our kids better off than we were. One sat at a time.

I might be trying something stupid, but is there any reason I can't run Datum Gateway with Bitcoin Core? I'm using @Start9 and switched from Knots back to Core. Datum gives a warning, “Config not satisfied. Datum Gateway will not work as expected.” The auto config doesn't seem to change anything, but it's updating jobs, and my Bitaxe is connected to my solo pool and submitting shares. The Datum log shows new block notifications. Is it okay to ignore this, or should I try something different?

Today was a good day.

The blocks are long, but the halvings are short. GN.

Fifteen years ago, I spent 4 years earning a degree in C++. A few years later, high school students were learning the same language. Everything kept evolving, new languages and frameworks emerged, and much of what I learned became less relevant. Now, people can describe an app to their phone in plain English, and AI will build it without them writing a single line of code. I’ve watched the barrier to creating software collapse in real time.

Some of my most productive thinking happens in the shower.
