💄 Adversarial Makeup That Breaks Facial Recognition:
Facial recognition systems rely on symmetry, contrast, and the identification of specific facial “landmarks” (eyes, nose bridge, mouth corners, jawline). Disrupting these throws off the AI.
Here’s what works:
🔹 CV Dazzle Techniques
• Use black + white high-contrast geometric patterns
• Draw bold diagonal lines across your face…especially across the nose bridge or mouth area
• Block key landmarks with shapes, splashes, or color patches
• Asymmetry is key…don’t do both sides the same
• Cover the area beneath your eyes, which is crucial for many models
Think abstract war paint, *not* glam. You want the camera to see you as a broken image.
🔹 Infrared Confusion (for night cams)
• Use thermal-blocking materials around the eyes and forehead (metallic stickers, mesh, or mirrored tape)
• IR LED hats or glasses can flood your face with light invisible to humans but blinding to IR cameras
🔹 Hyperface Prints
• If you wear fabric (scarves, hoods), choose ones with dozens of fake faces printed on them
• This overwhelms algorithms with false positives
🦶 Gait Analysis Disruption:
Your walk is a biometric signature that can be used even if your face is covered.
To confuse it:
• Put a rock or almond in one shoe
• Wear a brace or add weight on one side so you walk funny
• Walk with a purposeful limp or swin
• Change your step rhythm every few minutes
