Pretty cool beach structure that I saw the other day. The material is Palo del Arco commonly grown and used for shades, fences, pergolas, wind blocks and actual structure for mud and wattle style homes. You can see the architect's home in the background, obviously he likes angles😉

Went to an earth block home yesterday. Not only are all the bricks block but that is an earth block tile roof! My current contractor owns the hime as well as the block machine. Plan to build with a mix of rammed earth and compressed earth block homes, using all ranch materials except for the lime added. Still need to use concrete for structure (white beams and columns) and cap on walls but much, much less. The wood beams will be a bit expensive but the rest is mostly labor. #homesteading #permaculture #rammedearth

Another wicking bed this out of a damaged water tank. Great upscale for years to come... The small white spots are the wicks. Soil mix compost, coconut husks, peat moss and perlite. Plus added worms. Worm tea castings and worms.. #permaculture #homesteading #gardening #bitcoin

Yesterday extended this small swale a bit. After the tractor I need to level it out and shape a bit. While you can see the rake in the picture the best tools are bare feet😉 This dirt is so soft kicking it around with feet feels great. A truly grounding experience 🤙 Have an awesome day😎 #homesteading #permaculture ##gardening

Loving my morning walk in spring around the ranch. Here's one the old nearly Cardons probably older than me. Looks pretty dead till you look at the end of the lower left branch. Second photo shows new budding and lots of green in between the hard ridges. These cactus are some of the greatest Hodlers of water🤙 Have an awesome weekend😎 #gardening #permaculture #homesteading

Harvest basil flowers for the seed and removing some dead camomile I found this! Say what? A Himalayan berry sprouted from seed. Probably bird dropping but had no idea this variety grew this far south. Nice thing in the desert it's not likely to out of control or be invasive like in Northern California. Be interesting to see how it fruits... #permaculture #gardening image

I'll also start making some cannabis, beef tallow lotion for skin and muscle pain. Have an awesome week🤙 #permaculture #homesteading #gardening image
