Last Mamdani rant/point of the night. Because if his solutions are state oriented (entirely, solely) it’s bullshit. For Mamdani: politics = state action change = electoral capture warmth = policy outcomes What I’m arguing for: politics = what people do together change = building power outside the state warmth = free cooperation

Bureaucracy is the imposition of impersonal rules on people, backed by the threat of violence. - David Graeber There’s nothing warm about it. “Anarchism is the idea that it is possible to have a society based on principles of freedom and solidarity, without the need for coercive institutions like the state.” - Graeber Collectivism ≠ state led solutions and BS you can have individual freedoms and solidarity in a libertarian socialist and anarchic system that get to the actual good statements like that.

Hey nostr who are some of your favorite anarchist thinkers (or those who write on said themes) and why? #asknostr

Progressives want to fight the man, which are the corporations in their minds But who do you think directs the corporations and controls their incentives? image

The U.S. government (regardless of political party) cannot be deemed trustworthy because the incentives are completely off from basic safety and property protections for its citizens Think about it: endless money printing ability (+reserve currency), and a population that doesn’t much care for privacy or rights in the digital age. Complete control is too easy. Certain rights and freedoms are granted by this form of government completely as an illusion to keep the population from revolt. But as trust erodes more, this type of government will have one of two choices to make - be more responsible and actually follow the constitution (spirit and letter) or the population will grow discontent enough to revolt. The revolt stage we regularly see in low trust, “third world” nations.

I’m living on a Bitcoin standard more than ever. Only use cc when I have to for like netlfix and shit. The level up in 2026 is as much Bitcoin in self custody, cold storage, as possible. And then Cashu as peer to peer cash. This is the best example we have of electronic cash to date. Excited to play with this more, and see more tools emerge.

Also, this year I will continue to talk and educate more on my belief that we need to continue to opt out of the fiat system and systems of violence. This includes resistance planning and modeling. I know I don’t have to convince you, nostr, but some will continue to attack me for this, saying I’m giving up on our nation, democracy, etc etc. Far from it, I love and care deeply about people in general and think most are far too reliant on these systems that are failing. I have eyes, ears, and a brain and I intend to use them, not shy away from the realities before us. Our nation and world is in a precarious state. How’s your finances (Bitcoin self custody?) how’s your community, home life? How are your relationships? Try to set your life and family situation up to be as resilient and self-sovereign as possible. And at the very least it’s a bit of put your oxygen mask on first before helping others mindset. So that you are prepared to be the greatest neighbor and community leader if and when you are needed.

Here are some personal goals I have for 2026: - continue to stack sats for my family and children and their future. Continue to up my custody and inheritance planning game - relentlessly advocate for freedom tech/Bitcoin in self custody around the globe (authoritarians aren’t going to let up). This includes peer to peer payments, Bitcoin as resistance and freedom money, continue to advocate for an opt out of the fiat system and opt in to Bitcoin (starve the beast) - focus more on my physical fitness again. Year one of fatherhood made that a challenge (unless bobbing around the room at bedtime or chasing my daughter counts 😅) - get even more involved in my local community (if and when shit hits the fan, this matters a lot! And it feels good anyway). - less wasteful time doom scrolling or focusing on high time preference models and arguments - be authentically myself — not thinking what I feel others want or think I should do,nbut leaning into my gut of what I know I should do - approach each day with appreciation, kindness, grace, and wisdom. And most importantly — not let fear and darkness drown out hope and the good. The truth is I am incredibly fearful of the 1984 authoritarian hellscape it seems we are sliding into. But the good news is, there’s still something we can do about it. All of us, together. Never lose hope. We must be the change we wish to see.

Remember, the sats you stack today — for yourself and your family — and the ways you advocate for Bitcoin to your friends. They may not be abundantly clear to them this year, or next….or in 5. Or they may. But I swear to you it will be abundantly clear in 20. As will the glaring realities of coordinated efforts governments around the world are taking to cement 1984 into reality, forever. Resist, stack sats, and never lose hope.

Future dystopian stories and shows like black mirror depicted internet and social media users as products and addicted to the companies’ platforms, like hamsters on a wheel. These companies would even pay them to be plugged in. Clicking, playing, etc. We have that dystopia today — but it’s even worse. The companies aren’t even paying people to use them as products.

I know we critique the U.S. and its politics and systems and such Obviously you all know I do. But god I am so thankful and grateful to be in a safe space, raising my family in safety and comfort. I know that’s a luxury not afforded to so many in this world. I’ll never take that for granted. Be thankful for that today, if you have it

I continue to dive as deep as I can on the theory v reality of what a bitcoin standard means for the world. The interesting interplay and problem solving is that the left/right libertarian agree on many problems but not necessarily what to do as solution. How do we collect ourselves, voluntarily? image

The more we build up government reliance, the harder the crash and fall will be for Americans and those around the world that rely on U.S. government funding, with its ever changing political winds and the house of cards it’s built on. Less ability to be self sovereign and financial free, and more reliance on the government to live. It’s a shame. A horrific shame. I’ve tried to talk to my progressive friends about how terrible a situation this is, and how bitcoin as resistance money is the only way (they don’t trust the Trump admin/government, but yet they continue to want to advocate for policies that expand the federal government and dependence on it in every facet of life, especially direct UBI and healthcare l??!$) You can’t claim you’re part of the resistance, or fighting for a better world for everyone, if you continue to support an increase in central, federal govt control and coordination over every part of life including healthcare, housing, UBI (which of course comes with mass surveillance and social credit score), labor, and an ability to save money/capital. Modern progressives are not liberal and often times hold pretty un-American, anti liberty and freedom views — led by academics and politicians who gaslight and mislead them. image
