I’ve been told the following is a conspiracy and not aligned to the broader progressive movement Well maybe the progressive movement needs to change, because that’s pretty fucked up 🙃 Here’s what I said to elicit this response “The cover up of Epstein will continue. Everyone knows he was a government asset (multiple governments) and details involve at least hundreds of powerful individuals and institutions from around the world. It’s a disgusting and grave injustice, get louder. #Epstein #Epsteinfiles

Progressives love to boycott corporate brands as a part of their movement. What about the government itself? If it’s not by the people, for the people, what are we doing? Opt out *is* a political strategy to get the system, and those vying for your vote, to wake up. In 2015 I remember arguing with friends about this. We were all so infuriated about how the DNC tanked Bernie’s campaign, the attacks he faced, and how it inorganically propped up Hillary. We were told “just vote for Hillary.” Look at where complacency got us The political class machine that works for the preservation of itself, not the people, is alive and well.

The risk averse institutions and investoooooors are here, pretending to know the technical vulnerabilities of Bitcoin and quantum. The market is acting on these vibes, but not for long IMO. Idiots will be fired over their present decisions if they miss this dip stacking opportunity.

I’ve spent a lot of time over the past several years talking to progressives and the left, my “people” historically, about the Good of Bitcoin. But I think that is missing the point, and the wrong framing…it keeps being a losing battle convincing people about morals in a neutral technology. Is the internet good or bad? Is electricity just for the ‘right’ people? Of course not. And we don’t profess to put morals on something like electricity, or the internet, or automobile, the cell phone, etc. The truth is, Bitcoin is a neutral technology, just like any other tool we use every day. It can empower people, support freedom, and yes, it can be used by “bad people” too—just like any technology. Let’s not judge or put morals on this technology in ways we don’t do with most other technologies. Instead, let’s focus on how Bitcoin can promote financial freedom and give everyone access to a fairer financial system. Let’s focus on the use cases we wish to see in the world, as I fight for Bitcoin as freedom tech, promoting democracy, freedom fighters, empowerment, and agency for everyone. And yes, aside from Bitcoin, I also like to advocate for freedom and things beyond just Bitcoin. Bitcoin is not a he said she said of if it is Good or Bad. It’s technology that can be tremendously powerful. Many of us are utilizing it for good.

I’m constantly learning, evolving, growing. And one thing I feel extremely confident in — the U.S. govt has ceased to be by the people for the people for quite some time, decades at least (and I know other nation-states feel even worse). I long for a nation and government that embodies the principles of our constitution, life, liberty, property, and pursuit of happiness. Principles @Natalie Smolenski so eloquently talks about. But I’m afraid our govt has gone too far off that path, with no way of coming back. The fight for freedom and my aspirations for what our world can look like where human rights flourish with strong communities, money separate from the state, and individuals with agency and self-sovereignty, is far bigger than what the government, our politicians, and this system can deliver. The system is beyond repair. Opt out is the only way, and influencing and manipulating these players where we are able (because the incentive structure is also perverted). Freedom go up is the goal, and it’s the fight of all our collective lives. Prosperity and safety will only come as we confuse to push forward on this.

In a world filled with anger, sickness and violence (as again seen on full display in the shootings in RI and Australia) It’s a radical decision to choose love, peace, and hope. But our collective fate depends on us choosing the latter.
