Ever since I went down the Bitcoin rabbit hole in 2021, I knew my role and the contributions I wanted to make in the world would revolve around increasing Bitcoin adoption to those who need it most and updating the narratives surrounding Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a tool for everyone, freedom money for those who need it most, and nostr:npub17cyatz6z2dzcw6xehtcm9z45m76lde5smxdmyasvs00r4pqv863qrs4ml3 embodies this ideal. Following their work over the years, this feels like a natural home for me and my passions in the space. And with my decade+ experience in nonprofit management, administration and development, I am thrilled to utilize these skills at an org running on a Bitcoin standard. The work and tasks ahead are massive and important. As many of you have seen, My First Bitcoin has recently announced the strategic decision to expand beyond the local in El Salvador to a global organization with no borders focusing on freedom and agency through independent Bitcoin education. I’m excited to see the beginning of this process through with the team. And for those following and supporting nostr:npub1fpcd25q2zg09rp65fglxuhp0acws5qlphpg88un7mdcskygdvgyqfv4sld the work and org continues as the board navigates the best path forward for what has been an entirely volunteer based org, now focusing on giving grants. This morning I woke up and was just not in the best headspace. So I did what I knew would help. I went for a ride with my daughter to the local coffee shop, grabbed a latte, showed her around the store and got a couple Christmas things, then took a detour home while sipping my latte and listening to Christmas music. You should not be hesitant to stack sats for your kids. I think it’s better than a designated brokerage account with stocks or crypto, because there is only upside to potential favorable tax treatment for Bitcoin in the future as global sound money. Like say you stack sats and then when handing off to your kids they get to spend tax free on most things. Compared to tax treatment of selling stocks for cash to spend.
