See me post with a really long address on mastodon? That's a bridge. My real profile is : https://ditto.pub/@henk.tech
My webhost blocks some requests behind proof of work, if my NIP-05 errors for you then you can verify it manually. I unfortunately can't disable this.
I joined a few communities on Armada and I am seeing a trend. There are multiple people there who do not seem to have any regular Nostr activity. They don't really know about Nostr. And when interacting with one of them they were excited that there is more than just the discord clone.
So a few people who really want to escape discord have found the discord alternative and they know nothing about the rest of discord and do not appear to be bitcoiners.
That is a very good sign that it has mainstream appeal. And once they are on Armada talking about what they like in there, its a small step to bring more diverse content here to. I want Nostr to be for everyone and that is a lot more fun when its not 90% about Nostr itself or Bitcoin.
Wondered what the XDC Project is I have been teasing?
Imagine you like #retrogaming and you want to play a DOS game with a friend. Both of you need to install and setup DOSBox and the game. Now you need an IPX server, you need to port forward the IPX server, you need to know your IP so that your friend can manually connect to your IPX server, and then you play. Or you rely on a website that may eventually be shut down.
If only there was a better way that is great for retro gamers, and great fun for people who use XDC compatible apps like @V E C T O R (Supports Multiplayer) or right here on #Ditto (Singleplayer only for now)!
I posted this demo yesterday:
But now its time to introduce XDC-DOS!
XDC-DOS is an easy way to turn almost any js-dos game into an XDC app within minutes! That's right, I didn't port that Duke Nukem game to XDC by hand. I made a tool that lets you do the same thing! And not only will this allow you to have singleplayer dos games, the IPX multiplayer works to inside compatible chat software, making this the first time you can play IPX with a friend just by pasting a file into your chat!
Making them is easy:
Step 1: Create or obtain a js-dos game (Tip,
has a ton of games, and if you right click the web page and choose view-source all you need to do is search that code for the .jsdos link. If its a real jsdos file its going to be more than just a few kilobytes). If you want to make them that is simple if you have dosbox knowledge, create a .jsdos folder in the folder of your game, and put a dosbox.conf inside there with the settings and the commands to automatically start the game then just zip it all up and rename it to .jsdos . You can learn more about that on js-dos.com
Step 2: Now that you have a js-dos game you can visit my website at and upload it along with optionally a logo for the game.
Step 3: Simply click build and it will build your #webxdc app for you!
Happy gaming, and shoutout to @JSKitty for both his awesome chat app and helping me test my first XDC multiplayer game.

Alright Nostr friends, you enjoyed me posting Doom? With XDC being a thing I wanted to see if I could port Half-Life to nostr. $25 well spent on vibe code credit :D

This XDC can be shared inside Vector for multiplayer (Hopefully armada fixes their multiplayer lag soon!). You can also enjoy the singleplayer demo's right from my profile here on Ditto.
