Your retina is loaded with melanin and iron. Blue light excites both, driving reactive oxygen species like superoxide. Under the sun, Infrared helps clear it. Under LEDs, there is no Infrared. So the radical just sits there. Burning. Sunlight comes with a fire extinguisher built in. Your LED doesn't. image

US Patent 6,506,148 "Nervous System Manipulation by Electromagnetic Fields from Monitors" Granted 2003. It describes pulsing a screen's brightness by less than 2%, small enough that you can't consciously see it happening. At around 0.5Hz that pulse makes you drowsy. At around 2.4Hz your eyelids start to droop. The patent even says it can be sent to your monitor remotely, over the internet, without you knowing. Your screen is already pulsing right now. Invisibly. For a dumber reason than any patent. Drop the brightness below 100% and most backlights don't dim smoothly. They strobe the LEDs on and off, hundreds to thousands of times a second, because a strobing driver circuit is cheaper to build than a smooth one. Nobody printed that on the box. Same blind spot as the patent. Except this one isn't buried in a filing from 2003. It's running on your desk right now and the company that sold it to you never said a word. TAP ZAP fixes this image

Sunlight is the strongest EMF signal your body evolved with. Around 1000 W/m² at solar noon. Full spectrum. UVA. UVB. Visible. Infrared. Schumann Resonance is the weakest EMF signal About 1 to 2 picoTeslas (pT) In comparison, Earth’s magnetic field is about 20 to 65 million times stronger (25-65 µT) Schumann is Earth's heartbeat, generated by millions of lightning strikes around the planet Strong signal = POWER Weak signal = TIMING Sunlight loads your system with energy. Schumann sets the clock that tells your system when to use it. Your biology evolved with both. Now look at modern life. Glass cuts out UV and most Infrared. Sunscreen blocks much of the UV. Then we fill our homes with RF signals spanning roughly 30 kHz to 300 GHz. A constant wall of artificial electromagnetic activity. And somewhere underneath all of that is a natural signal oscillating around 7.83 Hz, measured in picoTeslas. A whisper beneath the noise. Most people spend their day indoors, disconnected from the strongest natural EMF source, while surrounded by artificial ones. Maybe that’s not the trade we should be making. image

Scientists just reviewed decades of data on AC Magnetic fields, the kind coming off your power lines and what they do to your hormones. The results are ugly. The "safety" limit is uglier. Melatonin, thyroid, cortisol, reproduction. ALL DISRUPTED. NOT through HEAT. Through oxidative stress and calcium flooding into cells that were never supposed to open those gates. So you'd think there's a limit protecting you from that. There is. And once you understand it, you'll wish you didn't. The limit almost everybody uses comes from a private group called ICNIRP. Not a Government agency. A commission. Their number for public exposure to power frequency magnetic fields is 200 microtesla. That's 2,000 mG Now hold that number next to the actual harm data. IARC flagged these fields as a possible carcinogen back in 2001, and the signal for childhood leukemia showed up at 0.3 to 0.4 microtesla. 3 to 4 mG That's the level where kids start getting sick. So the "safety" limit sits about 500 times higher than the exposure already linked to childhood cancer. How does a limit end up that loose? Because ICNIRP only protects against one thing: an acute jolt strong enough to stimulate your nerves right now, today, this second. That's the entire basis. If the field isn't cooking your tissue or zapping a nerve, ICNIRP calls it safe by definition. Long-term, low-level, night-after-night exposure? Not their department. They looked at the chronic evidence and decided it wasn't "established" enough to act on. Meanwhile the chronic evidence kept piling up. Kaiser Permanente tied prenatal exposure to miscarriage and to obesity and asthma in the children who made it. An 18-year study of 3.5 million people found more Alzheimer's and dementia deaths in homes near the grid. And now this review adds hormone disruption to the list. Here's the part that should end the conversation. The United States has no federal limit at all for magnetic field EMF. Zero. The EPA was researching it in the 1990s and the funding got pulled. No research, no finding. No finding, no rule. The Netherlands looked at the same science and started buying up homes near power lines to move families out of the exposure zone. The US defunded the people holding the meter, then started running new high-voltage lines to feed AI Data centers. A private commission sets a limit 500 times above where kids get leukemia and only checks whether the field can zap you on the spot. That's the standard your family lives under. Ask yourself who that number was really built to protect. image

Engels, 2014, in Nature. European robins lost their magnetic compass inside a city. The cause? AM-band electromagnetic noise, 50 kHz to 5 MHz, ordinary urban hum. Shield the lab in aluminum, the compass came back. remove it, gone again. The first clean proof that man-made EM noise blinds a biological magnetic sense. Published in the world's top journal. buried for a decade. image

Lloyd's of London excluded EMF health claims starting in 2010. Almost 10 years before 5G rolled out. The world's most sophisticated risk-pricing market decided EMF liability was uninsurable at any premium. The same telecom companies selling it carry no insurance for harm from it. When the people who price risk for a living refuse the policy, You have your answer image
