The biggest confirmation of what I’ve felt on this topic was Mallers’ comment on last Monday’s Mailbag about how crappy it was to drive a car again after relying on self driving to get around town for many months.

I realized during this vacation and some extended breaks from devices, just how much we deny ourselves the ability to really drill down into the things that occupy our mind, through the need to be constantly stimulated and constantly consuming new information online.

I’m convinced that greater use of reposting is the easiest way to grow this protocol. I’m going to make a point to quote and repost more. #grownostr
First feed of beet tops. My fave. Sautéed in butter with a bit of garlic salt and pepper, they are a tasty source of iron. #gardenstr

As I journey through my middle years, I’m noticing a little arthritis creeping into my feet. Can be quite painful at times and it does kinda suck getting older.
Today, I learned not to wipe the extra Voltaren off your hands on the same towel you use to dry off your balls lol. #aginggracefully #grownostr
I am living in the spirit of the British during World War II. During and after the war more than 40% of Britain’s domestic food production was happening in “Victory Gardens”.
And make no mistake, we are currently at war. It’s just against our own governments now.
Coming from a farm background as a kid, I swore I’d never get caught flat footed on supplies ever again, when I saw what they did to the supply chain and access to banking for certain individuals during the Covid response.

We came back from 7 days away to find everything in the garden had 2x’d. Days of intermittent, and at times heavy rain followed by blistering sunny periods not only totally took care of the watering while we were gone, but really started cranking up the plants. Including the weeds. But it’s cool, I’ll be sautéeing some beet tops to have with my eggs this morning, and enjoying my day before I jump back into the fray at work tomorrow.

We drove to a place an hour away to grab takeout and take the dog for a walk on a popular walking path. In the distance across the lake, there was a single canola field, the only piece of ground the sun could reach through the largely overcast sky. Made for an interesting contrast. An illuminated yellow band against an otherwise shadowy scene.

Our recent getaway with two of our best normie couple/friends was filled with laughs and we made some great memories. But I made a few comments during talks on the beach and around the fire about the importance of hard assets, transactional freedom, communications privacy, free speech and the whole fiat currency/melting ice cube thing, and was met a few times with the usual look as if I had two heads lol. “Like, why do you even think about this stuff?” I swear the same % of people that couldn’t see through the Covid lies are sleepwalking straight through the gates into the control grid without questioning a thing.
Gosh I’m glad I found Nostr #grownostr
Two of the pets so happy to have us back after a 9 day road trip.

Beautiful shot of the the North Saskatchewan River near Nordegg at the edge of the Canadian Rockies yesterday. And an important message left on the guardrail likely left by one of you

Whitetail doe greeting me this morning. It never ceases to amaze me how a creature with such a low brain- to body mass ratio can be so wily and hard to catch slipping come October/November.
