Wow $500,000. What a find! I’m sure that $450,000 will go a long way to funding $225,000 of much needed improvements for the receiver general and the department.

These bubbles, manufactured crises and conflicts do not happen by accident. They are permitted on a period of about one every five years now, and serve as “pumps” that gut savers and transfer their wealth toward the top 0.1% through “emergency funding”, bailouts, and bail-ins. All fundamentally enabled by virtue of the financial elites’ ability to print money for free, that the rest of humanity must work for.
Concurrently, these same events are also used to ratchet up regulation, eliminate competition, options, and the possibility of escape from the “long game”.
We are simply being alternately shared around like concubines, by:
- The banks and Wall St
- the warmongers and the military industrial complex
- “Big food” and “big pharma”
- global importers and exporters.
It’s all going exactly to plan. Our only hope to slow it down and retain some agency is through opting out where we can, decreasing reliance on “their” systems, and through civil disobedience.
The toilet has been flushed. The only question is where the end of the drain pipe emerges, to fertilize growth in the next century’s iteration of the game. Hold your breath.

@Maple AI The delete chat history function in iOS appears to be broken. Even after a logout/relog and completely removing and restarting app. Have to individually delete each chat
This week while I’ve been on holidays, my highly non-technical employer directed the entire management team via group email to put their usernames and passwords for all company related online services and assets onto a list he started in cloud storage, in plain text.
We have an onsite file server he could have at least used. Still not advisable. It may be internet connected rather than just on the LAN. I don’t even have read/write access to it. But the cloud?????? WTF.
So now I’m going to have to maintain two password lists. My legit, offline, encrypted one and a spoof list for this hacking honeypot.
If I tell him the error he’s making, in private, and how dangerous this is, it’ll be interpreted as “being difficult”. If I don’t say anything, the entire company’s data and access to online services is at risk.
I’m stunned.

Just had a video meeting with the founder of Barter-It. They seem interested in a mechanism to unofficially leverage their platform using real freedom money ie Bitcoin. At the very least, I’ve sparked some interest and opened a channel to be able to share information on self custody best practices, point of sale integration, and links to the best educational resources in the Bitcoin space. Quite a stimulating morning! It’s amazing what you can do with a little inspiration when you’re off work for a few days not chained to a desk. #grownostr #freedommoney

I was semi encouraged by the fact that the head of Barter-It didn’t dismiss Bitcoin out-of-hand. Here is the reply I got:

Hi MJ,
We will get to a decentralized system at some point.
We do not want to be using crypto coins to do it though because we will have FINTRAC and other governing bodies in the financial world on us.
We’re simply a points system for now.
Once we get up to 500,000 members across Canada, including likely 50,000+ just in Alberta we’ll be able to do some things to create what you’re describing.
In the meantime, we need to just do what we’re doing and get to the point where we have some revenue coming in so we can build out the future.
My wife and I have invested over $1,000,000 into this already and currently have a burn rate of $45,000 per month with a team of 7 people.

Here is my reply:
Hi John,
Thanks so much for your reply! All the best with your venture. Let me know if you ever need input on BTC education, self custody, or P2P point of sale integration with Bitcoin with your service. It was the only way we successfully got donations to the truckers. For all I know, you may already be stacking BTC as a hedge against the rapidly debasing Canadian dollar.
We have some of the best freedom money advocates in the world living in Alberta. Many of us are also using decentralized communications relays on Nostr to share info and exchange value in a way that can’t be shut down or censored like Twitter and FaceBook.
If you ever want me to send you some educational resources, please let me know. Peace

Hi Ben @BTC Sessions
and Adam @Adam O’Brien. I was wondering if this was on your radar as fellow Albertans and prominent Bitcoiners. And Dave too, since I don’t have his npub.
I was kind of dismayed seeing that the latest group email from Alberta Prosperity Project includes an endorsement and marketing material for a “decentralized in name only” service called Barter-It. APP members are being encouraged to sign up for this web based service that employs a social media component and new coins (ingeniously called Bits) to permit users to connect and trade goods and services.
It just seems crazy that the Alberta sovereignty movement is officially pushing a new service and a new coin, when Alberta is home to some of the best minds in the Bitcoin space, who are already helping people living under oppressive regimes around the world. Barter-It’s office appears to be in Toronto, ON. The very province that Alberta seeks to separate from.
I sent an email to APP asking if I could get their thoughts and perhaps some more clarification on how their service works. And why they aren’t just using an immutable and truly decentralized option. Here is the text of the email I sent to APP requesting info:
Subject: Question Regarding Barter-It Promotional Material in Official APP Communications
Hi APP,
I was wondering if you had considered an immutable medium of exchange ledger that already has established payment rails, on a decentralized protocol, to encourage your members to use for trade, rather than a centralized web app and points system. I’m referring to a medium of exchange that people around the world living under oppressive regimes are already using to exchange value for goods and services. You could greatly leverage an established network protocol that has been operating with 99.9% uptime for the past 16 years without inventing a new coin that isn’t really decentralized and is subject to human management to maintain the integrity of, rather than math and a fixed supply. Alberta is home to some of the leading minds in the space when it comes to “freedom money”, including members of the Human Rights Foundation who have assisted in setting up decentralized trade in some of the harshest political environments on the planet, with success. Love to hear your thoughts. Thanks.
Regards,

I intentionally omitted the word bitcoin from the emails. Since anyone with half a brain will immediately either ask a question about what asset I am talking about or immediately know already. Anyway I just wanted to get this on your radar and get your thoughts if you had any. I have a direct line to the CEO of the APP but my initial mention to him about bitcoin many months ago was met with talk of “bananas taped to the wall” as currency. I find it amazing that the organizers of this movement in Alberta hold such a dim view of an asset that successfully allowed donors to get money to people in the Trucker Convoy, a movement that was very aligned with APP principles.

Well, there was zero daytime deer movement today. I think we are still a day or two out before the rut begins and everything comes alive. But tonight’s light show made up for it. I’ve never seen this much pink color in the northern lights! I am floored at this gift from the heavens before I head home for a week before the next set out here. It never fails, just as you are starting to really get into the flow of life in the bush, responsibility back in civilization beckons. But I appreciate both lives. #gratitude #huntstr #grownostr
