I was holding off on jumping into The Kingkiller Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss until he finishes the series. I didn't want to have another A Song of Ice and Fire situation on my hands. The siren call of masochism was too strong. After the first 150 pages I am not regretting jumping in.
