Nostr Huntrs & Anglers is a place to share the stories, photos, and everyday lifestyle of hunters and anglers who cherish public lands. We celebrate the traditions of the outdoors—passed down through families—and connect a community rooted in freedom, stewardship, and wild places.
Helped my friend hang nets today to protect the grapes in his vineyard. He gave us bottles of his wine for the help that we can now have with elk steaks. It’s satisfying to know where it all comes from.
Elk Hunting Hacks
1. Miss bulls on opening day so you have an excuse to continue hunting for 29 more days in September.
2. Kill a small bird(Grouse) for your friend to make up for wasting his time. The chicken nugget size portions will nourish his body with 5 grams of protein and less than 200 calories after expending nearly 3000 on the day. This will ensure that you have help on the remaining 29 days.

Send backcountry trips over HF to @npub1uwh0...fqu7 and you can basically take my sats. Rough depiction of items required for sending data in the field(not wired together but self explanatory). Pretty cheap and roughly 3 pounds. Good for base camp. Anything I’m missing?

Not hunting related(in the animal sense) but this was a pretty cool find at a family members house. After he passed, we found a couple newspapers in the house along with some old Naval Call for fire logs. They nailed it back in WWII though… living costs rocketed slightly above 10%.
My brother just convert an enclosed trailer into a hunting rig with solar, lithium batteries, chest freezer, etc. Needs a couple bitaxe for heat and a HAM set up and we’re golden.
A friend hiked Cloud Peak in WY this week when a storm was rolling in. This lighting is incredible.
"For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities — his eternal power and divine nature — have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse."
