I found the npub.pro site to be really handy, I wonder how much effort it'd be to host a copy of the old page at a custom domain. It was a good way to show the photography.

#photography & #boatlife & #growstr #fishing amd #vibecoding fan and reforming church goer.
Stayed down here today and got loads done - handrails have been sanded and varnished, hatch has been revarnished, old cockpit display has been removed and covered with a new piece of ply, hopefully preventing another leak that's plagued me. Displays will be replaced with digital stuff next spring. Still so many jobs to get done.
Looked up and there's a fire in the distance. Hopefully no one is hurt ๐

Still curious to know #asknostr

GM #nostr - woke up on the boat, nice and late again. This is the only place in the world I can sleep in and relax. Hope y'all are having a happy Monday โ๏ธ๐ฅณ๐
Just noticed something and wondered;
On chain zaps. Great. Like it or lump it, they exist.
Just saw a mostr bridge post (thought I'd blocked that relay) and looked at the account and saw the onchain zap option.
Okay, well they get an assigned npub when their post shows up over here. But theyre not logged in to nostr, right? So, if someone was to send an onchain zap to someone who's account only appears because of that bridge, they'd have no way to redeem those zaps, even if they knew about it, right? Who has the private key? Does it exist in the system of whoever set up the bridge?
So, in theory, I'd need a state licence just to run Plume ๐
Fine, but it'll be a decentralised apps eventually and the website can simple point to that rather than hosting the platform.

I want to get back in to the old school forums and now we've got I see the opportunity. But you know what I've noticed? I'm drawing a blank. Like. I can scrib le any old random shit here as a kind 1 note and it doesn't matter, but introducing topics etc on a forum...blank spot. I guess I should introduce chronicle and Plume, that'd be a start.

Who'd die for this shit show? ๐

In earlier note I mentioned that on chain balances may be useful for another project I'm working on;
Chronicle is the family tree/memorial app that I'm building. Inspired when my grandad passed earlier this year.
You can create an account, connect to other family members and share stories, videos, images etc P2P, using nostr relays for discovery where hole sail doesn't work and as private shared back ups for families to secure their data.
Since it's built on nostr, with pub/priv key pairs, it'd be fairly trivial to set up multisig wallets and allow for the creation of family treasuries.

Just looked at the wallet screen on Amethyst - I get how the onchain wallet works, still not convinced it's the best idea however it does open up possibilities in one of my projects.
However, question relates to the cashu wallet that appears to be built in. How does this work? It can't be used for receiving zaps, I take it? Just good for sending them, or receiving invoices? Is that right?

Holy shit, I'm glad I'm not a kid these days. The arrival of cctv was bad enough.
