Good evening #nostr - long day at the mine but I still found time to sunbathe, dive in the sea and spend time with friends, so all is well. This evenings #sunset was lovely, but I chose to share this particular shot because the building on the right is one of half a dozen houseboats down here. There's several more across the water in the ketch, on #Hayling. Houseboats aren't in and of themselves always anything special, but the 6 we've got down here were all adapted from Dunkirk boats. Each one was part of the heroic rescue of 300000 men, comprising most of England's professional army at the time. Little bit of history, that is. #photography

Community visit for the fiat mine. Currently stuck outside in the blazing sun, it's 32c and I don't actually mind, tbh. I'm being paid to stand here and bake. Life is good.

I didn't think I got the eclipse, but I did, by accident. Not that it's below the sun and inverted? Normally try and avoid these sunspots in images, but this was a handy accident. Shot at 1/1200 on a Samsung mobile.

So I got off the boat at 8. Went and had breakfast. Went and picked up some sailing bits and walked 3 miles along the beach to be able to put together the small sailing dinghy. Went sailing, great fun. Very relaxing. Went sunbathing. Lush. Had a swim. Lovely. Sunbathed again. Decided I'd had enough. 11 hours in the sun. Glorious. Walked up the beach. Though...why does it look like I'm wearing sunglasses. Looked over my glasses. Nope, still not right. Though, is there another forest fire? Nah. That'd do some funky shit but it's still hot, I've still got the sun on me. Walked through a park...realised someone was looking through a strange contraption. Penny dropped. Partial eclipse. Mate's daughter decided to take the tweezers to her dad's leg hair. Thanks to my bright idea, she's now plucking her initials in to his leg. I'm a good friend.

It strikes me that one of the issues with social media is that it removed the incentive to not be a prick. The incentive used to be, assuming you were chatting shit in a pub or whatever, that if you acted up too much you'd end up getting punched. Not so much on t'net. Enter #nostr - realigning incentives. Act like a dick here you might not get punched, but you're probably not going to get rewarded. Offer something of value, something positive, and you might get a small reward. It's rebalanced things, in its own small way.
