I announced that I am a revert to Islam here on #nostr which I was super hesitant to do because I haven’t really don’t anyone in my social circle. Nostr felt like a safe place to put my faith out there and not be judged. Even though Nostr is an anonymous community I feel at home here. I’m still very new to Islam. I’ve read the Koran once and in the process of reading it again in English. Everytime I read it it just makes sense to me. It’s super crystal clear on how to treat people in all kinds of different situations which I wasn’t expecting. Not to knock Christianity but I never really understood it. The Bible is difficult to read and understand at least to me. The trinity doesn’t make sense to me, even as a kid I never quite got a good explanation. To me Jesus being a prophet that did miracles just logically makes sense in my brain. All the other prophets performed miracles yet we don’t call them the son of God. Honestly why does God need a son or to be sacrificed in the cross? These are questions that were in my head as I was learning more about Islam. That being said I truly appreciate the Muslim brothers here who welcomed me @alp @Muslim Bitcoiner to the faith. I hope to learn more and grow stronger in my faith over time. I definitely feel more at peace than I ever have in a long time and see the world through a calm spirit. I invite others to read the Koran for themselves. I think you will find it enlightening. At the end of the day I’m just a guy who found #Bitcoin and #Islam. It’s not a scary religion. Don’t listen to what the TV tells you. Peace and blessings to all.
