Our oil furnace finally died on us. It's been getting cold fast here, and finally after a couple weeks we have heat again! We'll even have AC for the next summer; which is the first time my wife and I will have AC in six years of marriage.

Today has been a significant test of patience. I am not getting a passing score so far.

Anyone know if there is a privacy focused alternative to Discord that can be locally hosted and encrypted? Perhaps something on Start9? #asknostr #Start9

Any good free resources to learn an instrument? I own an old Uke, but would consider buying a harmonica. #AskNostr #Music #SelfTaught

I'm 15hrs into #Silksong. It has met my expectations and is well on the way to exceeding them. The game has offered a level of difficulty that is at least on par with Hollow Knight. Hornet speaks and interacts with the grubs that haven't lost their marbles, and I've been enjoying the less cryptic world building on this one. The enemies are normally swift, and seem to take 5-7 hits to kill the majority of them. Which makes taking on two or more enemies a harder task than in this game's predecessor. The art style, maps, and hidden areas have all been beautifully detailed. Although I don't know if they are more detailed than Hollow Knight's map. I've had a ton of fun exploring them though, and even think I've done some inadvertent "area skips" by using my Hollow Knight pogo skills off enemies. I have 90hrs into the original game, and got 1% shy of a full completion (base plus dlc). The last 1% was the Pantheon of Gods, which I just did not have the drive to do. #Nintendo #HollowKnight

I will be visiting Canada for the first time in my life. I'll primarily be in Vancouver. What are the best things to do as a tourist that may be overlooked. Are there any local #Bitcoin hot spots we should visit? #AskNostr #Candada #VancouverBC

@Anna Le-Henn, thank you for being the wonderful loving wife, and mother, that you are. I don't have to tell you that our time on this Earth is scarce - but I do want you to know that I'm glad I get to spend so much of my time with you. Happy sixth anniversary. I love you.

"Many have marked the speed with which Muad'Dib learned the necessities of Arrakis. The Bene Gesserit, of course, know the basis of this speed. For the others, we can say that Muad'Dib learned rapidly because his first training was in how to learn. It is shocking to find how many people do not believe they can learn, and how many more believe learning to be difficult. Muad'Dib knew that every experience carries its lesson." - From "The Humanity of Muad'Dib" by the Princess Irulan Dune, Frank Herbert Thought that was a wonderful quote. Never stop learning, and never convince yourself it's too difficult.
