It’s rarely my place to offer parenting advice, but technically this is pre-parenting advice so here goes:
Don’t assign your beliefs to your unborn children.
I see this a lot in religious communities (“Christian babies”, “Muslim babies”, etc.) but now I’m seeing Bitcoiners do it too.
By all means, teach your children your beliefs, but don’t act like it’s a given they’ll embrace them forever. That only sets up a situation where they start to wonder (and you have to decide) if your love for them is conditional on them believing everything you do.
Raise your children to think critically and be prepared for them to not agree with you on everything, even your strongest convictions.

Why I'm Less Than Infinitely Hostile To Cryptocurrency
...
New episode of Beyond The Price out now!
Mark ( @Mark ) and I spoke with ego death capital's Nico Lechuga about #Bitcoin VC vs crypto VC vs tradfi VC, why Bitcoin-only, why builders should build on Bitcoin, and how portfolio companies like @Fedi and Synota are bringing Bitcoin to companies and communities, especially in the global South (as opposed to the majority of crypto which only serves the global North). Even a bit of energy talk to follow on from last episode on Bitcoin and the environment.
We actually recorded this a few months ago but it's as timely as ever!
Let me know what you think.

First full episode of Beyond The Price is out!
Daniel Batten ( @Daniel Batten ) is one of my favorite writers in the Bitcoin space - passionate for the environmental cause, devastatingly thorough in his research but gentle in his delivery.
Honored to speak with him about how Bitcoin mining, contrary to the "boiling the oceans" propaganda, actually promotes renewable energy buildout, stabilizes grids, and reduces methane emissions (84x worse than CO2!).
I have a lot to improve as a host and producer, but give it a listen and let me know what you think!

I hate those scenes where the
character guesses a password based on objects around the computer or things they know about the person. Like give us a break srsly
I really struggle with procrastination, but a while back I learned this hack. Call it the "do nothing" strategy. It sounds counterproductive but is surprisingly effective.
If there's something you have to do but you keep putting it off, your mind will seek distractions. You might browse the web or flop down on your bed with your phone or even start cleaning your room.
But instead of distracting yourself, do nothing. Tell yourself, okay, I don't have to do the task, but I also can't do anything else. I'll just sit here (not sleep, just sit here).
Your mind will beg you to distract it with something, but if you just sit, pretty soon you'll start thinking about the task and how to tackle it, or how it's not actually that daunting, or how you really just want to get it over with.
And then it's much easier to get to work.
We often think of procrastination or laziness as doing nothing, but really it's distracting oneself with things other than productivity. Our minds hate to do nothing, they want to be stimulated, and the most stimulating thing is jumping from distraction to distraction (i.e. a social media feed), dwelling on nothing.
So the next time you're tempted to flop down on your bed, phone in hand, when you know you have something you should be doing and would feel really good if it were done, try doing nothing.
Bet you can't last two minutes doing nothing.
(Your eyes will also thank you for not jumping between computer screen and phone screen all day long.)
I often wonder if others know significantly more than me or if they just act more confident based on the same amount of info
Here’s a prediction that’s either bold or dead obvious:
All of crypto will eventually become stablecoins, security tokens, or in extremely rare cases (perhaps only one) commodity money.
