I’m increasingly convinced that socialists have commandeered the finance subreddits as part of a targeted propaganda campaign. If you can shape someone’s view on why they’re poor, you can influence their politics.

Been checking out Warpcast/Farcaster and I have to admit there’s some interesting stuff over there. Their UX and implementation of channels is enjoyable. It kinda blends Twitter and Reddit in a way I like. There’s a fair amount of token shilling, but not really any more than you see with zaps on Nostr. We’re living through a Cambrian explosion of social media experiments. I recommend trying everything.

If you want to see a bunch of sovereign individuals turn collectivist, just mention Ethereum in the wrong room.

Vibes before tribes

Censorship resistance can be a rude awakening when you’ve spent your entire life on the shallow end of the pool. Nostr may have a tough time getting traction, but it will have a tougher time letting go of it.
