I cannot believe I’ll be back in school on Monday after 6 years of HVAC Community College may be looked down upon, but I am so beyond excited. STLCC is a beautiful campus. A debt free way for me to go after my theatre dreams. I tried to convince my dad to go to school with me, as his biggest regret was leaving University of Illinois Urbana in the 70s. He says he’s too old, I think I’m too old to go back to college so I understand.

Instead of Birthday Party at the club, I decided to have a Birthday Party with my family. I felt like I was 10 years old again 🥺. My uncle who is sitting beside me, his name is Aziz, he has practically been a Grandfather to me my whole life. He’s been dealing with a lot of health issues, and I wanted him to be able to see one more Birthday. My mom and dad hosted, and made it just like my childhood birthdays. It was a beautiful, but emotional night. As I get older, I want more time with my elders, I want to hear all the stories, the memories. It’s a blessing to be among them.
