This afternoon I was feeling bad about not talking to my mother's side of the family for over 6 years and thinking negative thoughts about it. Then I remembered a distant step-grand-aunt sent a christmas card and wrote that I should call her. So I did and had a good talk for an hour as I drove to pick up a kid from school. Then guess what? Within hours I saw two cousins, and 5 friends spread across the next three places I needed to go before the end of the day. I hadn't seen nearly any friends face-to-face in over a year, only new aquaintences. Ask and thou shalt receive.

You know what kicks ass? Being happy with the life you built.
