I talked with a friend today. He was asking for advice about a girlfriend. I never met her, but he said just one innocuous one thing and I concluded it needed to end. After an hour of talking, he admitted he was basically done with her.
During the course of the conversion, I reminded him of basic biological facts about men and women, such as women want two things: To be secure and provided for, and to have children; and men really only want two things out of a woman - children that look like him and an orderly house. If theyl woman doesen't want either of those things, there is something wrong with her and you should probably move on.
In the end I told him to make three lists: requirements, red flags, and dealbreakers.
I fully expect him to go back to her and avoid me until they break up over something else. 🤷♂️
