To accost the man who proclaims bitcoin fixes everything with interrogation as to the particular nature of some problem (though usual trivial) is to misunderstand the stochasticity and path ambiguity by which inventiveness occurs, it is a failure to understand the nature of life itself.

People think Bitcoin eliminates war by defunding and demonetizing the profit it brings. Maybe. War today is more or less the only forcing function driving basic competency in the funding and development of advanced technology, whereas under capitalism, there will be a vastly superior forcing function, obsoleting this value.

Having to try to be too clever, philosophizing, really seems like an impulse that largely arises from the inability to make forward progress on the natural human inclination to build & advance tools. Something I think about whenever I find myself trying to be too clever, you know, like this note.

Facebook is literally unusable broken garbage. People talk about Nostr having UX issues a few months into inflection point. Meanwhile, I had a paragraph of a post on Facebook disappear and that's a half trillion dollar company. Not the first time and they're def ngmi.

Inflation rate over the past 4 years as calculated based on a particular advanced material that has high energy costs to produce is 11.5%/yr. At that rate, the value of cash dollars falls by two thirds every decade. In 43 years, roughly the time a person works before retirement, over 99% of the value disappears.

For a year and a half I worked on deploying correct solutions to accelerating bitcoinization, risking my own time and capital, following other global problems I correctly solved. But people (incl bitcoiners) are too dumb and lead to objective hazards I will no longer tolerate. The only bitcoin investors were worse than the traditional VCs in fiat. So I'm going back to weapons. I realized a few days ago something should be technically possible and it's just too much of a straight shot. I'm also sort of the guy to figure out this sort of thing... gonna be huge if it works. My experience is aerospace and defense is the only place with enough legibility as to the nature of the objectives, and the constraints of basic physics (you cannot pretend to have a plane that flies the way you pretend to do things in medicine for instance) that you actually get moderate levels of intelligence and competence. I need that. Missiles and other defense systems will be manufactured regardless -- better that more of them turn into bitcoin if we want fewer of them. As the state becomes poorer, defense systems will need to be more technologically sound, offering greater capabilities at a lower cost, which my stuff will be perfect for. As the state shrinks further, commercial applications will eventually become the majority of sales.
