So this is not my first Nostr-utilizing tool but it is my first Nostr project made public because it might be useful. I'd love some folks to poke holes in it for me. This is a syncthing-like that uses a #Blossom server (minimal one included) and #nostr relay to sync a folder across a series of devices. I even tried to make it agent-friendly so your #ai agent can install it for you from the repo. #filesync #nostrapps

I don't know how I didn't understand this but for the longest time I thought I was posting to Nostr and anyone on Nostr was seeing it. If I understand the protocol now, nobody sees it unless they happen to overlap with the relay I posted to.

The fundamental question about #Blossom for me is the question of who pays for storage if large redundancies of binary blobs could be passed around and theoretically stored forever. What stops the abuse of someone uploading an encrypted blob containing a backup of their entire PC? From the reading I've been doing it's just the idea that you might be kind enough to run your own relay for the purposes of this storage... but it's a relay. It doesn't end there.
