The Islamic regime will honor a new deal exactly as faithfully as it has ‘honored’ its promise not to execute over 800 people. No deals with the devil!

“Negotiations”. The word we Iranians are sick of hearing. No deal with the devil. Period.

President Trump, for the first time, acknowledged that the regime has killed protesters, citing a more conservative estimate of over 32,000 deaths. Current confirmed estimates, however, place the number at over 40,000 people. He also referred to the reported halt in executions using the word “supposedly,” which reflects a degree of skepticism. Meanwhile, families continue to receive the bodies of their loved ones with gunshot wounds to the head. Some former prisoners die suddenly—reportedly from heart failure—within days of their release, raising suspicions of possible foul play. Young detainees are subjected to torture to extract forced confessions for crimes they never committed, and many are subsequently handed death sentences. One of the regime’s most notorious judges, Judge Salavati, recently issued death sentences to 14 protesters in an online trial. I appreciate that President Trump clearly distinguishes between the people of Iran and the regime. This regime does not represent the Iranian people.

At the graveside of her brave son, the mother of Danial Diani cried out: “Khamenei, rule now.” Danial Diani, 24, a law student at Razi University of Kermanshah and originally from Kerman, was killed on Thursday, January 8, 2026 during the protests in Kerman by agents of the Islamic regime. At his burial, holding his photograph, his mother shouted: “Khamenei, rule now—rule over the blood of our children. How do you hear this voice and not tremble? How can you think that after killing so many young people, you can buy more time for yourself and your grim rule? You will fall in a way that for years to come, both you and your legacy will be remembered with the curses of this nation.” At the fortieth-day commemoration of Danial’s passing, his family chose to remember him in defiance of imposed traditions—honoring his memory with dance. Dancing for those who are gone has become, for many, a new expression of protest against the brutal Islamic Regime. (Rescued from Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DVA8-KfCLkF)

The German police was impressed by Iranians' peaceful and respectful manner of protest in one of the city's biggest gatherings to date (over 250,000 people took part in the protests). They were so impressed they released this video on their Instagram page: 🇬🇧 (Translation) Yesterday, one of the largest gatherings in recent years took place on the Theresienwiese as part of the #MSC2026, with approximately 250,000 participants peacefully demonstrating. Particularly noteworthy was the friendly and open interaction among those present. We would like to thank the participants for the warm togetherness and the peaceful course of the assembly. We also extend our great thanks to the deployed police, emergency services, and fire department personnel. #FreeIran #JavidShah #IranMassacre

The mother of Arshia Barari — a young fitness champion and karate athlete murdered by regime forces during the protests in Zanjan — dances in profound grief at her son's memorial. She performs a sorrowful dance of mourning — then collapses, overwhelmed by the pain. This is unbreakable defiance. This is a mother's heart refusing to be silenced. #ArshiaBarari #IranMassacre #JavidShah

You've probably seen videos of Iranian parents dancing at the funerals of their loved ones murdered by the regime during the protests. This is no ordinary mourning. It's a profound act of defiance: refusing to let the regime dictate grief, piety, or silence. By turning sorrow into music and dance, they honor the dead as heroes and spit in the face of tyranny. These people will not be broken. THEY CANNOT BE STOPPED! #FreeIran #IranMassacre

In Iran, heroes have given their lives to raise our true flag once more. In Munich, we raised it high in their memory, in their honor, for their dream. 🦁☀️ Don’t stop talking about Iran!

Thomas Hardy's 'Hap' delivered the final blow to my faith. The poem confronts the question of justice. Reading it during our Poetry course at university forced me to let go of belief in a just, caring God. Over time, that led me to embrace atheism. Here is the recitation of my Persian translation of Thomas Hardy's Hap:
