Are we in an echo chamber, or does ‘crypto’ really not have anything to offer substantially in terms of culture, values, ethos, and really presentation of a greater vision on a whole?
Maybe this is more of a xitter kind of question (as nostr really is a bitcoin echo chamber), but all of the web3 BS seems like just that. It all seems so flaccid and disingenuous. The lack of charisma around crypto vs bitcoiners just seems really stark to me, but then again, maybe I am just stuck in this echo chamber.

I’ve had a real chip on my shoulder lately and been feeling pissed off about a lot of things (personally and otherwise).
And even in that, I thank God every day for bitcoin. Like, fuck the money part, I just am so grateful that there is something they cannot control, they cannot kill, they cannot stop. That even as captured, as played, and as controlled all of the dialog around it is; they cannot have my bitcoin, and they cannot stop me from transacting with whom I choose and they cannot break cryptography from the very functions that are its nature.
The crypto sycophant shit is disgusting and vile; and it’s also an essential component of Bitcoin’s development. Nothing provides a better smoke screen for how important bitcoin is than the crypto bros and their active destruction the entire financial system with their debased garbage, outright scams, and criminal conduct. When the smoke clears, and all of that garbage shows itself for just what it is; bitcoin will still be plugging along, block by block, bit by bit.
And even more, Bitcoin gives me a reason to have hope. Hope that even with as fucked up as everything is, no one can’t make more bitcoin, no one can stop the network, and no one will control it. That hope is the smallest of light in a world of utter darkness; and yet it is in the darkest of nights that such a light can shine the brightest.
It will be highly regarded.

If it doesn’t happen I am going to rage.

Nobody appreciates how much the world changes once we unfuck the money.
Something that makes my skin crawl that I’ve ran into multiple times is when I talk with people who work for the state in some capacity is how they make light of the about the absoulte dysfunctional shitshow that they participate in. It’s always some BS they spout like, “yeah, I just do my job,” or “figuring that out is above my pay grade” or the worst is, “At least its job security”
They actully don’t give a shit about what they do and just want to make sure they get a pay check. And while I empathize on some level, like this is your actual one life you get, and you’re willing to waste 40 to 60 hours a week of it just to get some money? You could actually do meaningful work, build things and help people, and likely even make more money if you were willing to take that ‘risk’ over the ‘security’ of a guaranteed job from the state, but that is just a bridge too far, eh?
AITAH insofar as I can’t really take nocoiners as serious people that want to be empowered and economically secure? Like here is a real solution to the real problems that you have, but you won’t even do the basic HW to figure it out.
First round plunge at 45F for 3:30 mins
then sauna at 170F for 20 mins,
Second round plunge for 5 mins,
Then sauna again for 15 mins.
Proud of myself for doing the cold plunge, been wanting to integrate that into my sauna routine.

Fuck. I have to cold plunge now.
Wish me luck in not being a little bitch about it.
I love that we are using apex war technology and techniques (cryptography) to shitpost and meme our way towards revolutionary change that is literally impossible to stop because of the very secrets of discreet mathematics that have always existed.
It’s like their some higher principle of the universe itself that wants freedom and privacy to win for itself alone.
The funniest part is that it’s always been this way.
Please lord Jesus this is the world I want to live in and I know your grace can inspire.
Please, I hate all of the stupid shit that comes from having phone numbers being the primary mode of human contact.
