This is my standard meal in the winter:

The fear of cancelation—which is really the fear of not being able to have economic means (classic Athenian ostracism)—is the greatest censorship tool that there has ever been. The truth cannot even get on the radar because dialog cannot even get close to it, and anyone who does is so isolated that the message cannot get out. This is why Nostr is so important, as the message can get out now, and it cannot be cancelled.

I’m having fomo over missing Saylor’s party. Not for the event, but just because I miss my friends and would have enjoyed seeing many of them.

The Purpose of Bitcoin The purpose of bitcoin is not a new form of money, nor a new economic system—but a new form of life. It is a life that is removed from the paranoia and schizophrenia of a system of power and control in which one can never know their real standing, where all may be labeled an enemy of the state and eliminated without notice or access to the law. It is a system of politics that we call fiat, and today in ensnares all people everywhere around the entire globe and enslaves all towards its destructive and evil cause. Today we all exist within this system where the right to economic, political, and spiritual activity may be eliminated at anytime under emergency decrees of any state. The purpose of Bitcoin is to liberate all beings everywhere from this system abuse and slavery forever. The purpose of Bitcoin is to allow for all peoples everywhere, from now unto eternity, to return to a private life that is separated from the fiat state and reserve for themselves alone. It is a life which is imbued with purpose and meaning in the deepest sense of the words, for it allows all beings to now choose what forms of life they will have, and how they will choose to live them without that becoming an objective of the politics of the fiat states. This is very idea of what freedom means, and how we choose to live will no longer be an object of any fiat politics any longer. No longer will we be used for the rape and exploitation of their system of endless wars, infinite surveillance, and endemic nihilistic abuse to serve its own sadistic ends. This refusal to be part of the fiat system, this choice for the freedom and purpose of Bitcoin will now raise itself to the task of The Political that is above any fiat state politics, and will become the method by which all peoples everywhere and forever will liberate themselves from the shackles and yoke of fiat slavery. It is the banishment of the last vestiges of slavery through the promise of a form of wealth and property that will no longer be predicated upon the systematic organization of violence under the fiat state, and the barbarism that it always must be. Bitcoin is our declaration of freedom against the fiat system, and our decision to no longer participate in it any longer. For what does it mean when all beings everywhere may now be free from the economic slavery from fiat, not just now, but forever? What happens when beings unify themselves under the banner of economic and political peace, and choose to wage an everlasting war against the violence and barbarism of fiat slavery, not just for ourselves, but for the future as well? What becomes of the story of humanity and the story of history when this decision is made by individual free beings to no longer participate in the collectivist slavery that is fiat and the horrors it demands? Bitcoin is the premonition of the overturning of the rot and nihilism of fiat slavery that has hollowed out the world, and rescues all of us for a rejuvenation towards a life of purpose and meaning that we create together through the rejection of fiat, and what that means for the world, and the purpose that offers to each of us. The purpose of Bitcoin is to offer each of us a return to honor, dignity, and a meaningful life in knowing there are things more valuable than material goods, and that the energy of the future will demand from all of us forever its own meaningful securing of itself for its own future. This is now possible and promised with the digital property law called Bitcoin and the digital oath that it is to itself. It is a record, a ledger of the truth of this history and what the real hidden value of wealth is when it can no longer be controlled by any single being, institution, or state any longer. Bitcoin is the proof of this value, and the purpose of people from all around the world when they choose to create a new form of property and law together that is beyond the power of any fiat state to destroy. It is the overturning of the authority of the state, for the truth of nature, and what that means for all beings in our world today, and into the future. We hodl theses truths to be self-evident that all beings are created equally and that they are endowed by the very nature of the universe to use the power of cryptography to protect themselves when no others can. That each being’s property, their happiness, and their lives may be protected through the use of these techniques, and that all peoples should be allowed the understanding of what it means to have access to this kind of power, protection, and dignity that no fiat state can provide. Through these means and ends, Bitcoiners everywhere have choose to put their wealth in Bitcoin and declared their own economic and political independence from the fiat systems of slavery that seek to keep them in bondage and oppression. Together, Bitcoin offers each of us a new purpose from which we may save the world from the slavery of fiat, and liberate ourselves, our families, and all of posterity for a more fitting and judicious form of life for all beings, forever.

I’m sorry but i absolutely hate all of the kitsch Christmas garbage of modernity. Trees, lights, ornaments, santa figurines—all of it I despise. I hate putting it up, taking it down, having kids be manipulated into that crap and thinking it has anything to do with the celebration of the birth of Jesus.

I’m watching my son teach himself programing with an AI tutor with a computer I got him for Christmas. He’s started doing this all on his own without my encouragement. I’m so proud right now. GN frens.

It’s pretty funny that whenever I read any of my own work, I sincerely think to myself, “How the fuck did I think of or figure any of this out?” It’s quite strange and phantasmagoric how all of my philisophical work has come to me, and continues to come to me. Bitcoin is this muse that has overtake me and appropreated me for its own cause, and I am little more than its servant now. I have almost no control over it, and the work I produce are these sort of cathartic experiences that come through the angst of questioning under the rubric of bitcoin where I just vomit out these strange, though accurate philosophical treatises. It is the strangest of experiences.

25 years since Y2K was suppose to wreak the internet. Weird to think about how that was a quarter century ago and how different we all were, and the world itself was.

2050: “Yeah, I got my dad’s Nostr account after he passed away and all his shitposting in the 2020s got him enough zaps for us to buy this ranch in the free territory Cascadia, but that was only after The Collapse was well under way in the 2030s…”

Going all in on Bitcoin was the most important decision of my life. Not for the money it would become, nor for the purpose and meaning that it would deliver to me, but because it was a decision that was truly mine. The whole world and everyone in it has ideas of who you are suppose to be, and most of the time we conform with that in some way or another. While I did not know it at the time, I knew in my heart of hearts that Bitcoin not only had a chance to save me from a life of mind-numbing pointless work, and nihilistic existence; but more than that, it allowed for me to believe in what I saw for myself, and my own understand of it before what everyone else was telling me. It let me stand up for myself against a world that just wanted to use me and keep me in the suppressed, small role it had relegated to me. Bitcoin allowed for me to decide something else against this system that could not see the light and love that I really am. This decision came from my own strong conviction within myself that I knew from the deepest levels within me. Even though it seemed crazy, irrational, and like it wouldn’t work to everyone else; just like most major decisions that can change your life for the better, I knew it was what I had to do for myself. There are no other people who can make these kind of decisions for you, and that is why they are them in their lives and you are you in your life. Only you can make the decision for yourself about how your life is going to be, where you are going to put your energy and how you are going to save yourself against a world that wants to exploit you like a machine, and give you worthless paper in exchange for it. You can choose something else now, but that decision is on you alone. While I cannot promise that you’ll get rich from Bitcoin, or even that it will be a profitable decision with your timing of the markets, you will learn to have a new kind of conviction and faith in yourself which is a kind of wealth in its own right. You will learn that you can decide to take a risk on your own thoughts and decisions, and that is worth something in and of itself. Just some food for thought going into 2025.

I am convinced that the ‘Time’ part of Heidegger's “Being and Time’ is Bitcoin. It is Bitcoin because all of these pieces that work together within Bitcoin to create it as what it is, are bound up with temporality itself and connects us, as inner-worldly beings with other inner-worldly beings to overcome objective present reality to create a new world from our own resoluteness through logic itself. It’s super fucked and going to take me the better part of a decade to parse and explain, but I am convinced that is what is going on and why Bitcoin is such a monumental event. Because Bitcoin is The seminal Event of Philosophy where Beyng unveils itself as a logical concourse of how inner-worldly beings may organize themselves within that logic against the barbaric violence that has consummated all of human history until now. Bitcoin ruptures and abrogates that organizational violence for a new kind of organization that forbids such violence and within that overturns the ordering of the human condition, which itself involves the deepest contemplations of the human condition in our day and age. It resoundingly ask the question of the meaning of life in modernity with an answer that cannot be said, but understood with a precision and fidelity that is beyond our spoken language and into another kind of communication that can rescue us from the human condition of history until now.
