It is kinda crazy to go all the way through a cycle … you get to see the rage quits, you see the slowly developing disinterest, you see the very public blow-ups, and you see yourself from four years prior. So much learning from all the predictable outcomes…gotta stay humble and avoid being a notable outcome.

Rebranding is nothing new. The perk of having a lot of wealth during a rebrand is that the rebrand is easier and has a higher chance of being successful.

Provocative idea (not sure I believe it myself yet TBH) but a MSTR psyop would be meant to destroy the bitcoin community from within. All my favorite Bitcoin podcasters are absolutely enamored - both intellectually and personally - with MSTR and Saylor. Biggest attack vector to mass bitcoin adoption that I can see this cycle would be if MSTR turns out to be a psyop. Be careful out there… View quoted note →

Also, FTX was a psyop … there is no way Sequoia made an investment in FTX without SERIOUS governance documents unless FTX was a psyop. Thats like VC 101 — full control of the founder and corporate operations. The powers that be … they had to break S2F … otherwise market emotions would already have us approaching $1M this cycle and the global bond market / dollar would already be in shambles. I have had the biggest chip on my shoulder even before I discovered bitcoin. Someone told me I couldn’t do something or wasn’t good enough, I’d prove them wrong and then some. While it always worked out well for me in the long run, the days along the way can be exhausting and discouraging. From grueling schoolwork to endless laps in the pool to corrupt office politics to complex family relationship dynamics, I’ve always delivered results that exceeded what the people in and around my life thought was possible. I feel like this bitcoin journey is the culmination of *everything* I have done and *everything* I have worked for. It feels like I am in the process of one final, BIG ‘fuck you’ to the doubters, haters, and “disinterested” onlookers. The chip feels as big as it ever has been and hopefully ever will be. Maybe I am destined to forever be motivated by a “me vs. the world” attitude. But I hope the need to FIGHT everything all the time will fade … the feelings never being as big as going 100%+ all-in on bitcoin and then (…now…) waiting for my first bull run pay-off. Don’t ever bet against me.
