I stepped away to think, I’m tired of the internet I’m tired of 24/7 reading about how X person or country hate Y person or country , I’m tired of the stupid squabbling and bickering over stuff that is completely irrelevant and pointless. I’ve decided I’m hard limiting myself on using the internet and specifically social media and YouTube and such. I will give myself an amount of time and that’s it, I’m not sure if I’m doing a weekly amount of time or a daily amount of time yet but that’s my intentions. We all get too wrapped up in ourselves and I think the internet is to blame for a very large chuck of the crappy behaviors of people. Anyway, I just wanted to explain a bit. I’m not leaving, I’m just being intentional.

New goal, be more intentional with how long I spend on YouTube, I cut out all other social media like what 4 or 5 years ago at this point so I don’t think this will be that difficult really but that’s the plan. Not trying to never use it, just use it much less.
I’m not sure what it is, but most people say that it’s important in programming to try and fail until you get it correct, but for me, I’ve failed so much at it that it’s just become a “oh yeah, another thing I suck at, why am I doing this?” moment. I’ve been trying to learn to code for I don’t even know how long, many years and I’m pretty much where I started. It’s equally frustrating and also just mind numbing at this point. I feel like AI just makes it worse honestly.
It seems to me it doesn’t matter how social the social media is, I don’t really use it for socializing anyway. I’m not very social, I tend to just post about things I think are cool or something I think is funny then move on with very minimal interaction I might react to a comment or respond every now and again but for the most part I’m pretty horrible at anything social. Idk, just something I’ve noticed.
If I’m honest I don’t really understand what based means but I still say it sometimes
@jb55 my muted list seems to clear every time I close the app and reopen the app. Maybe it’s because I’m using Ditto sometimes and Damus sometimes though? Anyway, just letting you know.

People are allowed to like tech, software and other stuff that you don’t like.
I really don’t understand how someone can talk about bitcoin or AI every single day and not want to jump off a cliff, but not like a cliff that would kill them or anything something high enough up that it would just jostle the brain around a bit and make them say ouch.
