Fascinating fun facts: my brother has a PhD in stop motion from CalArts. He's contributed to many stop motion movies and shorts in recent years from Robot Chicken to Fresh Guacamole.
He hates it now because you should never turn an art you do for fun into a career. He strongly discouraged me from going to grad school even though I was going for my econ MSc which has a decidedly higher profit margin 😅
