It’s designed this way because, at the system level, today’s phones and computers do not natively support public keys as user IDs or Bitcoin wallets. They only support their own accounts, like Apple ID, Google Account, and wallets such as Apple Wallet and Google Wallet.

If you think ecash sats are just redundant compared to LN sats, perhaps you should try figuring out how LN sats alone could be used as message stamps in Keychat.
Ecash sats work better for very small payments. With Phoenix Wallet charging 0.4% plus 4 sats per transfer, sending less than 100 sats isn’t practical.

If you're viewing this desktop screenshot on a small phone screen, it's hard to grasp just how great the experience of using Jumble inside the Keychat Browser really is.
Jumble is laid out with two main columns: the feed on the left, and any note you open displayed on the right. This means when you want to read comments on a note, you don’t have to leave the feed, open the note separately, and then navigate back — the note simply opens alongside your feed.
While it might seem like the left sidebar in Keychat Browser takes up space, it doesn’t hurt the experience. In fact, on a wide desktop screen, reading long lines across the full width isn’t comfortable for the human eye. Keeping the feed at a reasonable width actually improves readability.
And beyond that, the left sidebar gives you a real sense of control — your IDs, Wallet, Chat, and Browser are all neatly organized and always within easy reach.

We understand the Nostr community prefers small apps and resists super apps. While this note may be controversial, we trust our judgment and are committed to exploring a different path.

We hope that Nostr relays can evolve into post offices that sustain themselves by collecting ecash sats stamps.

Keychat introduced the concept of sats stamp, which is very similar to the idea Ross mentioned. We hope he will get to know about Keychat.
