Hey @Fountain I love your app! Is it possible to add steps between 1.0x and 1.25x speed? I usually listen to podcasts at 1.1x or 1.2x on other audio players, but for some reason 1.25x is too fast for me for most podcasts I listen to.

Could not have asked for better responses. Thanks everyone!

The Bible teaches us to trust in God and not in worldly systems. I’m curious, how do my fellow Christians reconcile this teaching with “trust” in the Bitcoin network?

It’s always a pleasure taking part in the #nostr economy. Looking forward to trying these out @AU9913! I appreciate the personalized note 🤙

I’ve listened to a few #podcast episodes lately that I either really learned a lot from, or they gave me insight or perspective that helped me out. I’ll share them in this thread to hopefully share some wisdom with my fellow nostriches.
At the intersection of your righteous power and your fear, there lies your calling.
Current and future parents, what are your thoughts on using a 529 for saving for children’s schooling? Historically, this has been a no-brainer for me to avoid paying into it because:
1. Limited investment options (no BTC-related options)
2. You could only use the funds for “official” schools and not homeschooling
However, some recent changes and learnings have me thinking again:
1. Funds can be applied to homeschooling
2. Up to a few thousand dollars per year put into a 529 counts against your taxable income, depending on your state
Any bitcoiners out there use a 529? Or is it better to keep it simple and just stack sats?

I’ve been hesitant to share this news for privacy reasons, but I think it’s worth sharing…
I bought a house!
Before my fellow bitcoiners give me the talk about monetary premiums, real estate not being a good investment, and the market on the precipice of collapse, hear me out.
1. I didn’t and won’t sell any bitcoin for my expenses. I’ve only been selling stocks so far as needed. It actually feels good to pull away from Blackrock-related funds and decrease my fiat investments.
2. I will be able to reap short-term and long-term tax benefits of house ownership.
3. This is not an investment. This is my home! I can finally buy a big freezer for half a cow and lots of ice cream haha. I can create a garden, build a sauna, or buy a big safe. I can start making a space my own.
4. It’s in a nice area and I got it for a deal IMO. This reduces risk of losing equity of the market does decide to crash. It’s also near family which is important to me.
All that being said, I’m excited! Even if it doesn’t work out, it will be a learning experience and plenty of fun along the way.
