Haha I actually loved seeing this video. Why would it even matter when most people thing I am gay or straight. I am happy, when I have a happy live. And this does not depend on others opinions about me. Clearly was different when I was a kid. But I gew up eventually. View quoted note β†’
@Kagi I just emailed your support and to Vlad. I really think sponsoring #newpress could be a great thing. Newpress embraces curiosity and freedom in the press sector. And #kagi does the same for a free web. So why not partner with them. So they can continue releasing great reports and Kagi can be seen by all the curious eyes following the Newpress videoreports.? #press #freedom #truthseeking
Totally. Real freedom can only be aquired through knowledge. Aquiring knowledge needs always time and energy. People do naturally tend to minimize energy expenditure. It is part of our genetical survival instinct. View quoted note β†’
#samouraiwalletΒ #privacy #dignity #freedom #FOSS This is a clear alarm to developers of free privacy and security tools: One of the founders of Samourai wallet was arrested and put behind prison, for allowing moneyloundering through the app, he has developed. With this legal basis, almost everyone can be detained by such policy. It is a clear statement, to more adaption of privacy tools. As bigger our crowd of adopters, developers, public voices, the harder it will be to silence us. Naomi Brockwell also talks about how justice systems try to crush privacy advocates through the process of justice alone. She mentions the case, published by the #eff of Ola Bini: It is obvious, that states can not do this at scale. They rely on the reality, that they can make strong public cases, against big names. When we refuse to be afraid, develop and use those tools anyways, suppressors will lose. And we the free people will stand on top. When somebody has some minutes to spare. Please send a message to the President. It does not matter if one likes or dislikes President Trump. But it does matter, that he has the power to pardon. Support him by signing the petition. Our votes matter! When we want a free world, we need justice. We need a law system that is based on truth and correlation. Not on tyranny.
#politics #principles #identity #truth #truthseeker With all the polarization and political fights, I need to keep repeating to myself certain truth: 1. I can not posess an argument. I can only represent it. 2. An argument can be right or wrong. I need to be open for changing my opinion, when my goal is to help right over wrong. 3. It is of no importance with what arguments I enter a discussion. Important is, that I exit the discussion with the most accurate arguments guarded for future actions of mine. 4. Agreeing for an argument coming from me to be incorrect is no defeat. It is only correct, when finding truth means something to me.
This is a desaster. #grapheneos and #LineageOS users which encounter such apps should defnitly write to the developers. Every request they get lets them know that people request freedom. I assume many times this is not developers choice to keep us out. It is simple ignorance of niche users of free Operating systems. The same way Linux was ignored for gaming a long time. Yes agree. A lot of literate people will support ideas of privacy and federation of power. But also many literate people do not have much knowledge about technology. So values mean more than technology. For now. View quoted note β†’
Thanks for this quote from Kurt Vonnegut. Sad story. Just yesterday I spent around half an hour talking with a man living on the street. But he is nit poor. He decided to live on the street around 30 years ago. His only addiction is tabaco. Therefor he has little to run behind. He sells newspapers, tidies up the surrounding of some houses and buys quality equipment (sleeping bag, hammock, cloth). He is a minimalist and did never take a pennie of welfare. He is a free man, reads much, takes care of the social connections he has. In the time I am talking with him, many come by and interrupt us, in order to buy a newspapter from him. So it is obvious, that he has a good network of people that respect and like him. I think with this story I want to show, that different people have different goals. We do not have to live the lives others expect from us. We can choose for ourself, as long as our actions are not shortening others freedom. View quoted note β†’
