Just found out the hard way that #Amethyst saves favorite relays encrypted and that #Jumble does not, so Jumble doesn't see any of the relays I added as favorites on Amethyst. Worse though, Jumble DISCARDS the encrypted payload in my favorite relay list if I add a favorite relay there... Please, client devs... If there is unexpected encrypted data in the 'content' section of a replaceable event, like a mute list or a favorite relay list, KEEP THAT DATA when you create the new version of the list!

I miss @npub1xdtd...ntxy He built us a lot of cool stuff. Some of it we have replacements for, but some we don't, that I know of. Some of the things he built: Spring Browser - This was a web browser for Nostr with a built-in NIP-07 signer. Great for webapps on Android. @Keychat has more than replaced this, thankfully. Nostr[dot]band - This had a lot of services built into one. It was maybe the first major aggregator relay, which was very handy to read from before outbox model. We have other aggregator relays now, even WoT powered aggregators on our phones, thanks to @greenart7c3 's Citrine relay. It also had a lot of useful stats, both for Nostr as a whole and for individual npubs. For Nostr stats, we now have stats.andotherstuff.org, but for npub stats I don't know that we have anything comparable. Nsec[dot]app - This was the most usable implementation of a NIP-46 signer for a long time. There are several good options now, including Amber and Bunker46. Npub[dot]pro - This allowed users to turn their long form articles into their very own custom blog page, including the ability to use their own domains, and many templates to choose from. It's technically still online, but logging in doesn't seem to work properly anymore. I would really love to see a self-hostable option for npub[dot]pro, or something similar to it, on either Start9 or Umbrel. I am sure there are many other things he built or worked on that I am forgetting, too.

Turning an epub into an audiobook for my wife. From my own self-hosted TTS generator. And it sounds mostly natural. Absolutely wild times we're living in.

I cannot understate how huge a win this is, having a fully functioning Haven relay available to install on @Start9 and expose to clearnet via Start Tunnel, or to use via Tor with just a few clicks. View quoted note → It's still a bit more involved than the average Joe would be willing to do, but for those folks there's @Cody 's Nostr Relay Tray if they really need their own personal relay that can be exposed via clearnet, and there's @greenart7c3 's Citrine relay for a very straightforward Tor relay. If you run an Umbrel, @Geek has you covered there, too. Update coming soon to add whitelist/blacklist functionality and fix the import function. Stupid simple to expose to clearnet via Cloudflare Tunnel and it's now accessible via Tor by default. No excuses #Nostr fam. Run a relay!

@Geek your Haven relay for @Start9 is looking great! Everything I tested worked flawlessly, including importing notes for relay owner and whitelisted npubs! Posting to and reading from the relay via Tor also worked, along with the blastr functionality. Well done, sir!
